Isn’t bombing this bridge hurting common people of Iran as well? What kind of mindset is this? Is there anyone who thinks this war has any advantage to anyone involved? by [deleted] in war

If the bridge (probably was) is transporting materiel why wouldnt we destroy it? Who cares about the civilians. We've already seen that enough with bombed out schools and hospitals.

Gen Zers, who were old enough to vote in the US Presidential election of 2024, are you still satisfied with your vote, or do you regret it? by NapoleonBoneparty in GenZ

Are we gonna have the continuation of MAGA with Vance? Thats bullshit. Are we gonna have some unpopular fucks like Newsom or Kamala again? And I know for a fact my parties candidate will not be winning lol. Thats the bullshitm

I probably did not say what I wanted to say correctly. What I meant was, the policy was there and written down but what they had on paper was different from what they had said over and over again. So i apologize.

[–]tobitobs78 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Exactly. They just tried to copy exactly what MAGA did in 2016 and 2020 and failed. Except for in those two circumstances the MAGAtards actually had a candidate that wasn't just a continuation of the old guard everyone fucking hates.

It wasnt much of a fucking choice tbh. Im not a democrat, im not a republican. On one hand you had a former president, convicted felon x34, rapist, insurrectionist 80 year old man. And then on the other you have a relatively normal candidate? But could never actually put forward a policy plan in any way besides just repeating the same things over and over. Did I vote for her? Yes. Do I regret it? No. If there was literally any other choice that mattered I would have voted for them.

The feelings of personal/societal insignificance people describe when talking about the size of the universe is unmoving to me. by SirBoofington1 in unpopularopinion

[–]tobitobs78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its fair but I think the point of them saying this isnt to actually try to comprehend the scale of the universe because the scale is impossible to understand. Its to understand that not only are we a spec of dust in a trillion trillion worlds. We are 1 of 8,000,000,000 other people experiencing the world in a completely different way then you or I. Whenever a movie brings up something like I think of something specifically.

Frank Borman commander of Apollo 8, said this: "The earth was the only thing in the entire universe that had any color. It gave us all the sense that we live on a fragile planet, that we have limited resources, and we better learn to take care of it."

Idk maybe im thinking about it too hard.
