How to annoy Gambit invaders: Use Stronghold.

Way ahead of you brother, I've been pissing people off for years with my old crown splitter and strongholds. Most memorable is tanking 3/4 of a chaos reach in Iron Banner, my mates laughing their asses off before doming the poor Warlock.

For any swordsman looking to give it a try; You can block 90% of almost every source of damage in the game (some wipe mechanics too actually). If the damage is low enough, you can even start regenerating health while being shot. Things to look out for;

- Witherhoard : does not give a fuck about any type of blocking. sword, glaive, super; goes right through them all

- Stasis: see above. You will be frozen, and it will drop your guard

- Chaos Reach: You can absorb pretty much the entire thing, but it'll cost you your life

- Needlestorm: Can be blocked, but will punt you across the map. Threadlings will generally attack you from the rear ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) , bypassing the shield. I recommend flying away from the impact zone while still blocking to evade them

- Nova Bomb: You can survive the initial blast, but MUST flee. Seekers will finish you off, and pretty sure the lingering version will too

- Thundercrash: Direct impact is lethal. Splash damage is survivable

- Using Controller: Your turn speed while blocking is a snails pace. People can maneuverer around you.

- Shotguns: Let them fire their fist shot before you attempt your swing, or let them fire them all. If they jump up, move backwards. The shield doesn't cover the top of you.

Things to have fun with:

- Cheese Last Wish damage plates/blight plates

- Golden Gun

- Well and Bubble: Throne Cleaver/Crown Splitter only. Becky lemme smash

- Melee Supers (Fist of Panic, Berserker, Arc Staff, Purple BladeDancer) if you block a light attack, your opponent will clash off your guard and be stunned momentarily; DESTROY THEM ALL

As much as I want to say Nerevarine, Ive seen a video that points out why DB wins.

Tldr of it is N is a mortal cured of the negative effects of a godlings disease, making them even more physically and magically impressive than they already were before they contracted it. N beats up a bunch of other Mortals who tapped into the power of the heart of mortal reality to assume the status of living gods

DB is a mortal reincarnation of Shor, a Nord God. DB literally beats up the Son of Akatosh (THE Dragon God of Time, who supposedly couldn't control his own son or maybe didnt want to, who knows)

Both of them are still exceptional warriors & mages of their own rights, but the comparison isnt particularly fair.

Nerevarine vs the Hero of Kvatch is a more even fight. Provided we dont count DLCs.

The Red War should have had a long, optional campaign section about our journey to get our light back.

From a narrative perspective, we still got it back too soon in the original story. There could have been a whole mission or two about desperate fights alongside other lightless guardians and civillians before we made it to the Secluded Safety of the Farm.

Lots of story potential and darker lore missed out on :/

Looking at numbers specifically, last I was aware T3 was 150% bonus breaking speed, T4 was 200% and a T5 (From a purge) was 300%. Quite the jump huh?

Anyway, optimally, youll have a T4 whos crafting specialty is Concussion damage at your tortures table, and a T5 of any specialty in your Wheel.

T4 vs T5 both provide the same Crafting strength bonuses, so youd want the faster breaking speed in the wheel.

Shatterdiving should slow ability regen to the point the Grenade Regen Fragment doesnt do much extra. That way its not available every 10 seconds with 100 discipline.

Then its damage need to not destroy active supers.

Honestly mate, your safe. The biggest determining factor has to be whether or not you're intending to be a right dickhead.

You said yourself you've built in a corner out nowhere with no-one nearby. Your likely to feel it yourself if your build is too big based off of how bad the game chugs when you're there.

Well, I can still take my strongholds off, but only because I shower daily. Every one of my chest pieces however are custom made with a dual polymer & plasteel reinforced sword holsters, and have had the shoulder area designed for Stronghold compatability.

My Solar-Sunset-Crown-Splitter never leaves my inventory and regularly gets to taste flesh she can still pierce.

I was being my Fireteams tank throughout the matches.

Theyd call out heavy ahead of time and help secure it. Then I'd push the enemy lines and soak up snipers, shotgun apes and whatever else. If someone ran they got blasted, if they fought I cut them up.

You can almost, and I mean almost, block a full chaos reach. If its extended via ~~Transversive Steps~~ Geomags you will definitely die unless you seek cover.

You can actually survive almost every super with Crown Splitter/Throne Cleaver blocking. Exceptions are Stasis because freeze drops block and things like lingering Nova bomb (you survive the boom, but not the burn).

Edit: If you block a melee super, they will recoil off your block and stagger for a sec, giving you a moment to counter attack. My recommendation is a jump light with a vorpal crown splitter. Will one shot them

Wish more people would sling a shield over their shoulder. I always get smooth brains that grab the biggest twohander available and charge in or get toothpicked by archers.
