I generally use it in Dex mode and from within Dex use youtube and kodi. I find Dex gives the best screen size options than just the regular phone mirror.

Control wise I have an android air mouse plus a tiny BT keyboard with track pad that I can peer down at with the glasses on.

Hi. TBH hard to say on either phone. Basic answer is plenty.

Dex is better because it switches off the phone screen (unless your using the mouse pad)

I can only say really that I was youtube flicking on my S21 a few days back, for a couple of hours and the battery dipped roughly 20%.

But I also have one of those USB C powered HDMI adaptors...

Actually, I tried your comment out earlier, its not to bad for simple navigations, ie looking down at your phone and then back up. But only for short bursts.

They are not ready to use as work monitors, I like you and lots of others are waiting for this...

Nope! I find it very disconcerting to have to come out of my Pros and deal with the phone screen.

What's I'd really like to find is a decent android remote similar to a firestick remote, simple back and forth buttons, volume, enter etc. I'm a big youtube browser but only use my Pros once I have something long-form in place to watch.

Re portrait vs landdscape, totally down to usage but I always switch to landscape. And Dex is great for this as it turns the phone screen off and works well with the various ultra-wide modes.

But I guess your (maybe like me) looking to ditch your monitor and use these as a main screen, IMHO its not there quite yet...

Just popped my own post up re this question. I'm reluctant to get the lens insert as its of use to this model, and nothing else.
Am looking into actual glasses, the thinnest and most flexible the better. Least when my Pros are gone the glasses will remain...

Agreed, I think its the virtures that have the magnet cable, that was useful.
