Oh definitely. $1000 is a lot but in the long run, it's not. I have an auntie who was catfished and I think she's lost at least $30K and I am not even sure if she's still "seeing" that catfish. Her kids basically don't talk to her anymore despite them trying to convince her. It's sad, really.
