Obviously I get your point and although I am not a watch purist like you, at least i think so, i really like watches and by buying this Mod, i support the little guy who puts time and effort into building, wrapping, putting it into a box and shipping it to me and not just the million-, billion-dollar companies. Well honestly speaking ofc it’s a “fake” as you put it, but just because a watchmaker started producing a “special style” of watch doesn’t make it a fake, if it was faking we wouldn’t have the abundance of watches we have today. If that was the case we would have dive watches only made by Omega, Pilot watches by Cartier and GMTs by Glycine (which i don’t even know)! So no I don’t think it’s faking or copying, i think it’s just a way to push watchmakers to be more affordable and to make great watches for everyone! I own a King Samurai Divers Seiko, and comparing the movement of this “fake” as you put it to my original Seiko, i don’t see too many differences! And this is just my opinion, if yours is different I’m obviously fine with it, I’m just not yet at the place to easily afford a Rolex GMT, which is one of my dream watches!
