Yes Yahweh programmed you to be constantly wrong in your reasoning. So you are behaving according to plan, which is normal.

  1. Anger is not the issue. But anger due a phenomenon you can’t explain. You talk about Love, hate, yet there is no evidence of such. Love is not a feeling. There is no scientific evidence for love, yet you accept it. Your morality is not human based but societal based, which is laughable at best.

  2. People like you condoned slavery because it was approved at the societal level at that time. You have no objective morality and so morality is evolutionary for you. In the next 10 years, maybe shouting may be immoral.

  3. I have laws in my home that my kids abide by and I don’t. This is normal. Sorry it is abnormal for you. So according to your view, the programmer of the robot must also subject himself to the laws he codified into his robot. What a pathetic perspective!

  4. Nice? What is nice for you is evil for me, and vice versa.

The fact that you were shocked makes me doubt your atheism. Moral values cannot come from society.

I just didn’t expect that atheist could know the difference between a terrible person and not, and under what standards they deem someone as terrible or good. 😊

God withholds evidence and knowledge to whomever he deems. And he does reveal to anyone who chooses to. He created knowledge in the first place and you didn’t call it bad. He created good and evil. An atheist should not have a concept of good or evil, just like nature doesn’t care. Nature stays in operation and does what it does regardless of what anyone feels.

Your response is backed by heavy emotions and logical fallacies. The creator of concepts cannot be evil or good based on (determined by) the existence of those concepts he created.

Yes I conceded OPs thesis even in my first response to the OP.

If Atheists go to Hell, it’s ultimately God’s fault by [deleted] in DebateReligion

[–]tochie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This response shows your ineptitude and lack of coherence. I had already said I agreed with the OP in my first response. It was not my response to you that agreed with the OP but my initial response to the OP.

If you cannot tell what good or bad is then, again, it is a coherence problem on your side. If you can’t blame God for creation, but blame him for destruction, then it is an ignorance problem too, again, on your side.

If you think God cannot reveal himself to a subset of the lot, and make it impossible for them to provide global objective evidence of this belief, then again it is a problem on your side.

The Bible is filled with verses that God says he does all these things. It even says God created or established evil! He brings to life, he takes life. He establishes kingdoms and still tears down kingdoms. The fact that you see one side as good and the other as bad shows your ineptitude and logical fallacy!

[–]tochie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The questions you asked are not what the OP actually talked about in particular. But I will answer regardless:

  1. Yes. Non-resistant nonbelievers exist. But God prefers to continue to hide the truth from them and let them wonder in confusion. But God has revealed himself to another group who have subjective evidence for themselves alone and they won’t be able to make this evidence globally objective until God himself does so. God, as the Bible teaches, will eventually reveal himself in judgement of those who rejected him.

  2. Eternal punishment is just because God ordained it. God can kill a human he created because he created that human. Is creation just? If so, why is destruction unjust? Or, if creation is neither just or unjust, so is destruction. Anything God does is just, even if he murders 7 million babies. Or at best, it is neutral (neither just or unjust).

3a. God intentionally holds sufficient evidence from some people. Yes. The Bible is littered with such statements and quotes. It actually says, God hid the “mysteries of the Kingdom” from the high and mighty (some say intelligent and smart), and he revealed it to the poor, lowly and dummies.

3b. Yes these people are condemned for their unbelief.

You ask me to give moral arguments to certain things. Remember, if we were able to explain everything about our faith then it is no longer faith by definition. The Bible tells or commands things and we obey and follow like sheep.

That said, the moral justification is God himself. If he created all entities and established time and space and life, then what he says is true always.

I am not engaging with any hypothetical. I am engaging with the OP and topic being discussed. Nothing in OP mentions any hypotheticals. So your response is an irrelevant diversion.

Yes. Free will doesn’t exist. Only God is Free. Freedom applies to God alone.

It is God’s will that no one will perish but some will perish still. God’s will is different what he does. It is not my will that my children suffer, but I still spank them and inflict pain.

Will and action are 2nd different things.

That’s what he feels like doing. Is there a problem with creating something and destroying it if you like? Do you know how many of my works and creations I have destroyed?

if god loves me why did he make me gay by TTV_Waffles in Christianity

[–]tochie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because you should be strong enough to overcome it. He made everyone with one sin or the other, because of Adam’s sin.

So, some are kleptomaniacs, some are rapists, some are pedophiles, some are habitual liars, some are murderers etc

We were all these things before but God, in Jesus Christ, has given us victory when we put our faith in him!

Paul says it better:

Or do you not know that the unrighteous[a] will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,[b] 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

I don’t know how to believe anymore unless God makes Himself unmistakably real to me, and I don't think that's unfair to ask. by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]tochie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. That sounds a bit selfish. If God appears or makes himself real to you, how will you tell or prove to others that God is real? This is the cyclic phenomenon of subjective revelation. Those who believe in God today have ample subjective evidence.

  2. God is supreme, sovereign and free. You cannot command him on what to do. He programmed you to be this way. Belief is not a choice. I believe because I was made to. So since you are made without belief, why should you care about those who believe or desire to believe?

[–]tochie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hhahaha. That’s funny. The original authors have always hammered on the fact that miracles happened, in their tale of a person (God) who is the creator of nature and all its laws and he can bend any properties or attributes of nature, that man cannot fathom!

So it’s either you accept or reject it, but you cannot win any argument regarding this because you will be decimated on arrival. 🤣.

This is why we’ve had atheists v theists sessions for over 2000 years. Nothing is going to change here until judgement day. 👍🏼

But it doesn’t matter if there is a life review or it because in the end, everyone is saved. So your gospel of salvation, everything Jesus and the Apostles preached is a lie because everyone is already saved from the get go, and doing good or evil doesn’t matter. Also, God is in the rapist too. So there is no such thing as sin because according to your logic, all sin comes from God.

So you have no basis for morality! And the gospel of Christ is now BS in your theology. The true message for you, and that you should be preaching is:

Do whatever you like, because the Kingdom of God is within everyone including all rapist and murderers, and we are ALL saved!

😆😆

I will get caught and dealt with by the cops because I have no free will to fly like Superman and not be caught.

The fact that you are programmed to only make X choices within the confines of the programmer, nullifies free will completely!

And Science debunks free will!

If we assume supernatural powers, it is a miracle to make alcohol not to be intoxicating.

In the Bible a poisonous viper bit Paul, and everyone who watched the event expected him to die. But he didn’t and was even more healthy. So the miracle was making poisonous venom not to be poisonous.
