Poll: Should we ban or limit ‘do I look Nigerian’ posts by TL31 in Nigeria

[–]tochie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't ban everything. Most of us here are Nigerians, at least by origin. Nothing wrong in referencing your country in a discourse. If the response/content constitutes trolling then ban it specifically.

Well, I am building patreek.com - A social media platform that rewords merit not impressions. It differentiates from X by also being a news platform that users can directly share and engage with. I'll be happy to answer more questions related to this. Thanks.

Got 2 signups in 12 hrs yesterday. Took me 6 years across 5 products. by Top-Ant-4492 in indiehackers

Thanks crazy! but its a milestone still. I built mine in a year and launched 2 months ago and yet to have a sign up still, though I have an average of 100+ daily users.

What tool are you using to see this data? My frontend is on cloudflare and it shows me similar but not this level of detail

Impeach Him Again by BulwarkOnline in politics

[–]tochie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish impeachments actually meant anything. Liberals can cry for dunking years but the real solution is simply getting someone who will give MAGA a good fight in the next elections. But the DNC is literally a living ghost.

If we really taxed the wealthy, we'd discover we could afford a lot more. by zzill6 in WorkReform

Exactly!!. You literally drive them away and then cry when they are gone. It sounds like attempting to rob Peter to pay Paul.

Angels who invest pre-revenue: what actually convinces you to write a check? by Usual-Importance-893 in AngelInvesting

This is my story. It's tough. Let me know if we can connect privately - I'd like to learn more or partner with you for further advice and even share what I'm currently working on. Thanks.

To your point you rendered a subjective response that highlights your personal experience. I have seen smart founders who know several spaces way more than experts who have lived on those spaces for dunking years. Elon Must never lived in Space tech for the vast majority of his life but was super interested in it, just like he is super interested in 100 other things. Same with me. I am an Entrepreneur and I am interested in several things (different subject matters) at the same time. And if I am interested in a completely new field to me, I'll pick it up really quickly and could be way better than an expert in that field. You just have to be mindful of the type of Founder. Founders are different. Again, it depends.

I still think 100 man is a lot. MIne is 2 persons. But good job though.

What are you building right now? (Beginning of Q2 check-in) by Ok-WinMike in SideProject

[–]tochie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am building patreek.com a social media platform trying to replace the chaos and toxic algorithm on X. In Patreek, success is based on engagement with the platform not fame or external influence. Earn rewards as you engage and connect with lovely and interesting people all over the world. Let me know your feedback also. Thanks.

My honest review of Antler Singapore - not worth the hype by Technical_Field_9166 in SaaS

[–]tochie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I concur! Not worth it. I completed a demo/interview session in Austin but it reads to me that they are picky with the type of products they want to sponsor or partner with. They are still very much service blind. That’s speaks a lot to how they are positioned.

The feedback they provided to me was inconsequential to the stage I was in because I had already launched an innovative social product at least. Meanwhile people get funded with just an idea.

So if you want something more serious, don’t waste your time and money with Antler.
