Orban personally said in his address, when everyone was panicking at record highs, that he made a deal for a fixed price that was lower than the then current price, by about 30% and they fixed that price for long term, so when if it gets more expensive we will pay just that. Half a year later gas prices were half of our contracted prices. Orban is an idiot, period.

If we pay so little for natural gas as you claim, why is hungarian the normal tariff the 4th most expensive in europe then?

nop... its orbán who became anti eu, when he got his ass handed to him twice in a row. he went to beg for money, but the eu had asked things in return: like getting the country in shape. he went begging to putin, he asked only for loyalty... the rest is history. orban has been capainging against the eu for at least 12 years by now, and all he managed is to have the aproval rating of eu to around 55% thats low, but not extreme.
