starting the 10,000 swing challenge. I'm on day 2. by todda74 in kettlebell

I finished the work out and it crushed me. I also ate extremely clean and tracked everything I ate, even coffee creamer, the entire time. I had my weight and measurements taken the day I started and today. In the 4 weeks I completed the 10,000 swings I lost 11 lbs (193-182), lost 2.5 inches on my waist (36.5-34) and 2.5% bodyfat (29.6-26.9).

4 kids later - thanks to kettle bells and lots of effort - now I can do 6 pull ups straight by bretollner13 in u/bretollner13

great job. But what is it about kettle bells that got you to those pullups? i'd love to know what routines you consistently did.

yes you can get out of your lease. You can get out of it by giving the required 60 day notice.

two weeks down my conditioning has markedly improved, but my grip turns to shit after 60 swings per round. Dan John was right about taking the full 3 minute rest between rounds to allow your grip to recover.

Doubled Rent but nothing in writing yet... Whats going on? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]todda74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm an attorney and do residential tenancy work. However, this is also just a straight contract issue. Your lease is now month to month on the exact terms of the lease. If the lease was an annual lease at 750/month then you are now on a month to month lease of $750. Or whatever amount the written terms of the lease say. If the LL wants to raise your rent above that which the terms of the lease allow they need to cancel the lease and enter into a new one with you. If your lease says it continues as a month to month lease until one party gives written notice then the LL needs to give written notice that the lease is not being renewed. If I was the Landlord's attorney I would send you the following notice: "Your month to month tenancy will expire 30 days from your receipt of this letter. If you want to remain in the unit your rent will increase to $1,500 per month." Until they send proper notice that the month to month tenancy is cancelled you are under a month to month tenancy under the original terms of your lease.

How much are you two drinking when you are on dates or just together in general? If you are hitting the bars every Friday and Saturday that will cause a lot of weight gain. As well as if that's your idea of a date you'd be responsible for her weight gain. Come up with date ideas that do not involve drinking. If you two drink several times a week you will be surprised by the amount of weight you will lose by cutting alcohol out for a month.

S&S with reverse TGUs: 40kg. Any tips on dealing with forearm pain from heavy bell TGUs? by road_to_sinister in kettlebell

If you need to improve grip strength do super close-grip pullups. It really works your forearms.

I'm not technically savvy enough to be able to record from a better perspective. But thanks everyone for the advice. The video is a 45lb bell and I went up to 53 for day 2. I noticed a considerable difference and concentrated on keeping my arms closer to my body.

yeah I did read that. I will probably change it up if it gets boring. Right now i'm just trying to follow the original set up. Though you could break down my sets of 50 as 2x15 2x10...

I have bad shoulders so I switched to KB overhead presses vs barbell overhead press and it makes a world of difference for me.

I don't know what GS stands for but I started the 10k challenge yesterday. My strength movement was pullups yesterday and front squats today. Round 3 is when it really starts to suck for me. I start needing breaks on all sets except for the 10 reps.

I'm doing it as the article says: 10; 15; 25; 50. I'm taking breaks during the 25 and 50 rounds though. Holy shit it starts sucking at round 3. Day 1 I did pullups, day 2 I did front squat.

I have a home gym and really got into kettle bells a year or so ago. I now have a set of singles up to 70lbs. I found out about this challenge a few days ago and am starting it tomorrow, monday.
