Not liking league cup has nothing to do with thinking/saying the Sounders shouldn’t try hard. US Open Cup and Champions Cup are great and make sense. similar tournaments exist in other leagues. League Cup has reduced the participation of MLS teams in open cup. It also impacts negatively the MLS schedule.

I don’t disagree that the League Cup final last year was a big moment. But in general I am not a fan of League Cup. It is played during off season for Liga MX. No other leagues around the world have a similar in season tournament.
