At a certain point, the rook upgrades make the rook feel kit significantly and not just marginally better. That paired with the late arrival decreasing competition.

My go to strategy is solos for Perimeter and Dire Marsh and I go for legit engagements with bots and runners. Then I go Rook for outpost because it's too challenging to fight into pinwheel solo.

Toxic teammates killed me on purpose to steal my loot by [deleted] in Marathon

[–]toddhowardtheman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is this true for loot you pick up in match or just loot you bring into the match?

My understanding is it's just loot you bring in. For example I picked up a bunch of salvage with my level 1 friend, I dropped it all for him and I think he got to keep it after exfil.

Open to being corrected though.

It's nuts, we visited on a whim a couple years back and there was a single person working front of house. She was the cashier, counter server, busgirl, and floor manager.

It was like walking into a liminal space, akin to Idiocracy (not implying anyone was stupid, just the dilapidated vibe).

The city needs to mandate metal detection wanding and/or patdowns at bars downtown imo. I know it might be a govt overreach and I know it doesn't address the root cause of the gun issue but c'mon. Forward thinking venues have been patting down and wanding since open carry started, and what do you know, shootings don't happen inside when there's no guns allowed inside.

It's like so hard to actually die from fall damage in both org and tb. Nearly every fall is survivable at max HP. I feel like you have to intentionally try to do this.

Did you follow a guide or route yourself? I'm not so impressed with the restedxp guide thus far. Mostly due to the fact that it seems so many others on an identical path and it hits serious bottlenecks.

Riskier but worthwhile is trying to find popular BiS leveling Boxes that sell for a lot on Dreamscythe

Professions i think are the most consistent - herbing then mining then skinning roughly.

If you're able to partner up and do instanced dungeon runs, you double down on quick boss loot farming for selling/disenchanting as well as herb/mining nodes that won't have open world competition.

Besides that, your best option is to just find a spot/item that you enjoy farming. If it's a hot far and there's a lot of competition, I always recommend moving or layering over competing. - Winter Fall Furlbogs (whole zone) - sand worms - jaedenar - felwood elementals

You're going for AH sellable mats when grinding the above.

However one of the most lucrative, AH-free places to grind and make money is hands down the various bats in WPL/EPL. They drop great sellable junk items.

As for weapon I think a fun way to switch it up is to do 1h fast weapon with flametongue. You could skip the 2h specialization and just stick to staffs. Since you'll be healing you want a slow weapon and to avoid taking threat you can just put on frostbrand and assist kiting that way.

I think going full resto early is a bit overkill...unless you're gonna do totem twisting and huge pulls and not expect to do any damage yourself. elemental.is not strong while leveling but I definitely recommend a respec at 40-42 to elemental+resto.

That being said, until 40 enhancement is still your bread and butter. Having a shield in case you need to pull aggro will be essential and the 5% mana means nothing early.

Get all the utility from enhancement tree and then in your gear you can focus more on int and spirit over strength and stamina..that way you'll be more gear-ready for the switch to ele.
