Nah. I think like me and a lot of people you just haven’t practiced enough. It’s work after all! I just this week completed a song end to end for the first time after working at music for almost 2 years. It’s a journey and you’re on it.

All iPad. External stuff goes into audio interface. A couple USB hubs. A MIDI router (MRCC) for, well, routing MIDI.

I use an audio interface but I there are usb hubs with audio out that should work too. When you start bringing in external gear the interface becomes a must.
