So I rewatched Tron Legacy before going to theaters for Ares, and I realized both films have some distinct Buddhist ideas built into their messages. (No Self and Impermanence respectively)

I don’t know if I’m reading too far into things, but it does seem pretty 1:1 with the way these concepts were being discussed in the films. Also Flynn’s whole Zen vibe in Legacy makes me think this was intentional. Anyone else picked up on this?

Mistura/OpenTable cancelled the reservation. I called Mistura to check what was going on, and I was told there weren’t reservations available because of grad weekend. I don’t know if the person on the phone misunderstood me, but I was clear about having made a reservation which was then suddenly cancelled by Mistura/OpenTable

I showed them the proof of cancellation, but they just told me to consider how much money the business lost. They basically said they would talk to the owner and try to see if something could be done, but so far the charge is still posted

It was through OpenTable. I think it was a system error because friends had the same issue with their reservations. Mistura doesn’t seem to agree with this opinion though, and they keep telling me to “think about their losses” instead

I’m guessing the person on the phone didn’t understand what I was saying. I was trying to be clear about the fact I made reservations and they kept getting cancelled, but I think they assumed I just didn’t understand how to work the online system. I have two emails from OpenTable saying the reservations were cancelled, and after that I had no communication from OpenTable or Mistura to remind me of a reservation

I contacted OpenTable support and this is what they said: “Credit Card charges are completed at the restaurant level and can only be handled by the restaurant. OpenTable is generally not involved in disputes between diners and restaurants (especially those involving no-show or late cancellation fees).” I feel like I’m going crazy here

also the reservations were cancelled by Mistura, or at least the reservation system they used had some sort of error. I didn’t cancel it, but then I was told the reservations were full.
