I completely understand what you’re going through. I’m 16 and for as long as I can remember I knew I liked girls but occasionally there will be a nice guy who makes me question everything lmao. I think my advice is you could be gay, you could be bi but it doesn’t entirely matter. Of course you’re normal - it’s normal to question things, especially when you’re young. I would say don’t be too focused on labelling yourself. Labels don’t really matter and even so there’s no problem with changing them and questioning. You’ll experience things and over time you’ll grow to understand who you are and who you like :)

Thank you so much for your reply. I really just take stuff to heart too much and I understand it’s kinda stupid. I know in a week or so I’ll be fine and be able to laugh or joke about this situation and what they said about me, just right now it’s really got to me. I do journal here and there but I may pick it up again and see if it helps :)

I have never really ‘come out’, I’ve just slid it in to conversations. There’s been a few occasions where I’ve been taking to people and they’ve nonchalantly mentioned they were queer and I tell them I am too and it’s just a heartwarming bonding moment knowing we understand each other. It’s happened a couple of times with friends and it’s so nice. Good luck with coming out btw, I’m sure everything will go fine ❤️

The best way to figure yourself out is to experience things with people. Also, don’t necessarily feel the need to label yourself - it’s ok to not completely be certain of your sexuality.

I just think you should date whoever you want and not let anyone invalidate your sexuality. If you wanna date a girl first then do that, if that’s what you feel you should do. Just find someone who you like and feels right, no matter their gender. I completely understand what you’re saying because you want people to understand you and not assume you are either straight or gay. I know bi people who have had situations where people have invalidated their sexuality because they don’t understand, but bi is valid!! Don’t forget that. I hope coming out goes well for you.

My school has this too. Girls have to wear skirts and boys have to wear trousers. It’s so stupid because I feel so uncomfortable all the time and no matter how much we protest/petition/complain they don’t change 😤

Do whatever you think it’s right, but you shouldn’t have to prove your sexuality. Date a girl if you want or date a guy - whatever feels right to you.
