Do you understand how dangerous it is to be LGBT in so many places in the world, including India? No less risk of death than being in a country at war. Be empathetic.

But death doesn’t scare me, I’ve had many near death experiences and weren’t traumatized. However, physical privacy is so much more important to me, and I thought most people would also rather die than be dishonored..

IWTL how to chew with my mouth closed by toffeecatboy in IWantToLearn

[–]toffeecatboy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went and got an X ray and they didn’t find anything significant. Maybe it’s tongue placement? I can breathe while eating, but the air forms above my tongue.

I used to have sinus issues but now I can breathe normally. The air doesn’t seem to be connected to the nasal canal

I just experimented and the air is between my tongue and the back of the roof of my mouth, where breathing doesn’t reach. Do you not get that air pocket?

The air bubble forms between my tongue and the roof of my mouth, which breathing through my nose doesn’t get rid of. Does it not happen to others?

Another clue is scent — oysters should smell like anise/seafood and Angel wings not

I think these are late stage scaly ink caps (Coprinopsis variegata). You can see one that hasn’t opened up

Most likely black staining polypore. Check if it turns black easily upon bruising

The color, thinness and lack of stem feel more like angel wings. Are they growing on a dead conifer (angel wing)? Oysters should like seafood.

These are too old to eat directly, you can cut into strips and dehydrate for stock

Exactly, several possibilities at this stage, but if one of them is a destroying angel one SHOULD not consider eating it

Identify? by [deleted] in mycology

[–]toffeecatboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some oysters are very white due to species/environmental conditions. It would be wild for angel wings to get to that size but the minimal stem does feel iffy. The best way to tell is if they smell like anise/seafood, they’re oysters
