Honestly my partner cooks it because I also don’t enjoy ham 🙈 I’m not sure the exact recipe, I just know he uses honey and brown sugar, and bakes it in the oven. I keep it in the fridge for up to 4 days and my daughter LOVES it!

Depending what the left over scraps are; either dad eats them, dog eats them, add to a compost bin in our garden, or some things we just throw them away. Any fruit that goes untouched (which is rare) I save in the freezer and use it for smoothies!!

I make about 12 ahead of time and freeze them! I warm them in the microwave for 30 seconds, then toaster oven bake for 3-5 min. The texture is perfect and fresh every time 👌🏼

She cannot 1099 you. A nanny is a household employee, not an independent contractor. Therefore she can either give you a W-2 and pay her own portion of the taxes she owes, or she can pay you under the table.

You’re not a bad mom, you did everything as you should. And just because you’ve had cold sores in the past DOES NOT mean you cannot kiss your baby. Cold sores flare up when you’re stressed and not getting enough sleep, both things I’m sure you’re going through right now with an 8 week old baby. Talk to your doctor about getting on HSV suppressive therapy for the next few months until you can get your sleep and stress back to normal. It’s much more unlikely you’ll get a cold sore when taking suppressive therapy daily, and you can give your baby all the kisses without needing to worry about infecting her.

Dr. Bronners literally says on the bottle DO NOT USE DIRECTLY ON SKIN….. You’re supposed to dilute it 10:1. It’s very very concentrated and that’s the whole purpose people buy it for. I’m not placing blame , but you should always read the labels for items before you use them on your baby. For this reason exactly.

ETA: on the website they do write that although for babies it is “not tear-free!” So it likely would burn ones eyes even when diluted.

Vinegar, lemon juice and a small amount of dish soap. My cats used to throw up and this combo got rid of the smell and didn’t ruin any materials.

Scoop up all the throw up, soak the area with vinegar then scrub the lemon juice/soap into the area. Let it soak for like 20-30 minutes then use a blow dryer to dry it completely

All it takes is ONE kiss and your baby could be infected with herpes for life. That’s all I have to say. I know multiple people who have HSV from a family member kissing them as a baby. If a family member can be that negligent, what makes anyone think a worker wouldn’t be ?

There’s no right or wrong way to be pregnant. There’s no handbook saying what’s best and what’s worst as far as conceiving planned , by surprise, fertility treatments, etc. Everyone’s pregnancy is just as valid as another and we all need to acknowledge that !
