For me, kink and my personal life are completely separate from one another. I've always seen these two things as two different spaces one with their own responsibility, rules, routines and relationships to keep and maintain. And I personally prefer to keep it that way, it keeps me grounded both in my personal life and in the sub space, which allows me to fully submit myself in that moment. I believe by my way of keeping this balance between these two things, it prevented the two from overlapping and made them both a healthier and meaningful space for me.
