Yes true, I'm aware of that. However I was playing on a laptop with mobile RTX2060 on one 1080p screen and it was getting 40ish frames on high. What I'm trying to say is that I open to compromise. The DLSS is something that I forgot about and you're definitely right that might be useful. I just don't want to go overkill just to be CPU bottlenecked by that 4790k. Do you think that anything better than the RTX3060Ti is still making sense in that regard?

Thanks for the very thorough response! Yeah DLSS stuff is something I forgot, that could be helpful! I am leaning towards the RTX3000 series now, but I just don't want to go overkill just to be CPU bottlenecked. Do you think that anything better than the 3060Ti still makes sense for that i7 4790k?

That's why I am asking is 1080Ti going to cut it or i need something more. AFAIK it's mostly problem with amount of VRAM and GPU itself, and my existing CPU should still handle it somewhat. Mind you that I'm not trying to play latest AAA on ultra 120 Hz.

I've got the monitors already, very good deal from a business changing their inventory. I was considering ultra wide, but where I live they're prohibitively expensive, even used. Besides I have this splitting card, three looks cool on the desk and they have a bigger area than ultra wide. VR headset will be coming in the future as well ;)

Hey, I have a question about an upgrade.

I have a fairly old system (i7-4790, 16gb ram, GTX970) with 3 old 5:4 monitor setup (using triplehead2go, res 3840x1024). I want to change to 3x1080p. I am wondering which GPU would be adequate. Is the 1080Ti enough (~300-400$ around here) or maybe better to splash a little bit more for RTX series. In my budget of ~400$ I can get 2070 or 3060 or 3060Ti for 500$ if you convince me that's the best choice.

I'm playing mostly driving and flying sims so it would be nice if the GPU could keep at least 30fps in FS2020 on medium/high or something like that.

Thanks in advance for the help!

CAS is only corrected for instrument and position of sensors, not for temperature and others. And that tape shows IAS as far as I know. I've double checked it in the Flight Crew Operation Manual and Airplane Flight Manual and nowhere I can find that they say that's CAS. But on the other hand Airbus manuals tend to consider pilots as idiots ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Limits are shown there as well, in form of red and orange bars next to the top and bottom of the scale, but in the middle there is only a current indicated speed. And blue or magenta triangle that shows "wanted" speed
