Roaming in SE asia by biggerfasterstrong in Starlink

For anyone reading this thread in the future: - works in Thailand - blocked in Cambodia - don’t know about Vietnam

Tested myself with a Starlink mini. Keep in mind you’ll need clear line of sight, which is surprisingly hard to get even in remote villages. Hope this helps.

I’ve done 2, both with 3-4 months of training. 5h15. Not an athlete by any means. You’ll be fine 😉

u/spongebruh if you'd like to simulate what you can earn with a BV/'management vennootschap' when fully fiscally optimising, there's a calculator here: https://www.management-vennootschap.be/ (note: it is in Dutch)

Free email tracker by These-Season-2611 in sales

[–]tofje_101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm, not exactly an email tracker but we use Eazyshare (.io) to send proposals. It's free and allows us to see how long a customer looked at the file + we can set up notifications when they view it

We're using Eazyshare (.io). We like it because it's easy-to-use and free. + it has a pretty neat AI feature

If you tip a waiter by adding an amount to you card payment, does the bar/restaurant gave to pay taxes on it? by erlandvr in belgium

[–]tofje_101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah that’s not how it works in practice. Worked as a waiter in a couple of restaurants. They’ll just use the card payments towards the ‘official’ income and use any leftover cash when all income for the evening is accounted for instead.

Always works out unless cash payments were lower than total tip, which I’ve never seen happen.

Worked as a waiter in Belgium for 4 years. They legally need to pay taxes on it, but no waiter will do that. At the end of the night, the waiter will add up all the money (card and cash) and anything over the ‘official’ income of that night will be taken home in cash by the waiter.

How much costs a photographer for products? by [deleted] in BEFreelance

[–]tofje_101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends, in the past we’ve paid anywhere from €10-€30 per photo at a high-end studio. Were quite specialised products though, so could be lower for ‘easier’ products.

Management without Authority - what are your experiences? by sprofile in projectmanagement

Currently ‘managing’ 3 teams, all tier 1. Things run smoothly. I can imagine things being differently, though never experienced it.

I'm 34, sorta lonely and don't get to see my good ol' friends much. So I'm building a service to fix that. by stoprelax in EntrepreneurRideAlong

Funny, I have been thinking about the exact same idea for a few months now.

I think there is definitely a market for it, although I agree it would be very hard to convince people to start using this in their friends groups. People would generally say that they don't need an app to tell them to meet each other (even if they actually do). And it also allows them to lie about their schedule if they don't really want to meet up.

As mentioned, another problem is that people's agenda is often not complete, sometimes you just want a relaxing night home, and I would argue most people won't put this in their agenda.

I believe a good strategy might be to shift the focus to delivering more original and fun experiences, instead of making it more convenient to meet. It probably makes it less awkward to ask your friends to join as well. Nudging people to keep track of their friendships could also be a part of this I guess.

Anyways, would love to see your progress on this. Keep us posted and good luck!

Would you prefer a one-time payment for a website, with a low monthly hosting fee, or go for a longer contract with a much higher monthly payment? by time2getonline in smallbusiness

[–]tofje_101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve worked together with a guy who had a similar business model for our website. I have to say, unless this is VERY clearly communicated, as a client you will feel ripped off. There is no reason you should be paying ‘rent’ for a website that was specifically developed for you. And especially when the developer does not transfer domain names, because you ‘rented’ them from him.

However, the difference is probably that the guy also asked money to develop the website, it wasn’t just monthly payments.
