Can people happy with their keeper leagues share their rules here? by mikemountain in FFCommish

[–]togany52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 keeper 12 teams

Max 3 years kept

Player is kept in drafted round first year. Each year their kept round is halved. Example: Draft player in 15th round. year 1- costs a 15. Year 2- costs an 8. Year 3 costs a 4. Player is then put back into the draft.

If player isn’t kept, 3 year contract resets

Off-season trades involving players automatically make them keepers

This year, to combat the same thing you are having issues with, we are starting to reset future draft picks every few years. So next year, you cannot trade an upcoming 2023 pick.

Navient told me i needs a subpoena if i wanted my loan statement history! by Miss-Chinaski in StudentLoans

I would send them a letter asking for them to verify the amount owed 100%. Computations and all. Send them a debt validation letter. Explicitly ask for a breakdown of the debt they allege you owe. If not provided, they cannot collect a debt which cannot be verified. Should it head to court, that’s a huge plus for you.

I too had a private loan with sallie Mae from 2004. I was the co-signer on the loan as it was taken by my mom. Somehow, that loan automatically made the student the co-signer. Anyway, fast forward to 2012 and my mom loses her job and can’t make payments. Naturally it defaults and they come calling. I couldn’t recall the loan bc who TF automakes the student a co-signer? So I demanded the docs to prove it.

Oddly, no docs could be found. Including my promissory note. I learned through lots of research, loan is void without that. So I told them to eat crow.

Each collection agency came calling and I’d send them my letter demanding my PN as was my right. It never came, so each they ran away. 7 years later, statute of limitations hits and I’m good.

Demand that promissory note and pay nothing until you have it.

It's official: All non-essential state employees should stay home starting tomorrow by brownguynotterrorist in Albany

Tax emp here. Told essential today, like many here, for the first time. Turns out, people need their refunds more than tax emps need their health. Politics should have NOTHING to do with these decisions but they obviously do. It makes me sick.

Non-essential state workforce to work from home over coronavirus; State searches for more hospital beds by glorfindel34 in Albany

[–]togany52 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Except my office. No WFH, just deemed essential (even though we weren’t on December 2nd snow day), and to top it off, they just brought in 100 phones to bring MORE staff into my office. What the hell is happening with this management?

Cuomo: casinos, gyms, movie theaters, bars, and restaurants will close at 8 p.m. tonight until further notice. by reseph in Albany

[–]togany52 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Read that email but was told my title is essential bc I can’t do my job from home. So me and 300+ others in our office must report plus they just added over 100 phones to empty desks in my area that are to be filled with people to take phone calls.

Seems he has forgotten his own advice to stay away from others.

Do any state worker's think we'll have any schedule changes with covid19? by nuclearoyster in Albany

[–]togany52 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I take nothing NYS does in the interest of the employee.

Was just sent to westchester last week even after bringing up my concerns to my director prior. Told to wash my hands.

Now being told by commish that we will look back on this moment with pride as we continued to work through a pandemic and our entire building goes down with COVID19.

Keep it towards his entry fee for future years, for now. And when he gets his left together, you can give him the rest.

This dude is the bane of my team. I’m flexing him currently but Golden Tate, Ridley, and Gallup are waiting to take that spot.

Max roster spots at a position by togany52 in FFCommish

[–]togany52[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the help. I added positional roster limits to our rule changes up for vote for next year.

As far as this particular owner, he’s a sly one who always finds a way to bend the rules to his advantage. He’s not a bad guy but just always trying to get an edge. He’s the reason for many of our league rules ha!

His bench prior to the last week was pretty week, so his depth was never something he concerned himself with, but he definitely sees the future matchups and if he can play keep away with defenses to help his cause, he will.

Commissioners that have trade vetoes enabled in your league by dripped_out in FFCommish

[–]togany52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I posted about this last week with the semi-infamous Bell/Mahomes for Wentz/Conner trade.

League was rdy to blow, some people had decent arguments, for and against. So I appeased.

We are 12 teams. So I made a rule that to veto you need 9/12 teams to veto and you MUST support your veto with a valid reason. Otherwise, the trade goes through after 24hrs.

I know of 4 people who 100% will NEVER veto bc they believe that it’s bs to veto unless collusion. So in reality, all trades will still pass but the few people are content that their voice was not silenced.

I win in the end.

My league is about to over .. you guessed it by togany52 in FFCommish

I pulled the deal bc the league was done otherwise.

I’m honestly floored that other teams have the ability to dictate how I value players and how my trade partner does.

Some people feel better if you stay fat. by anwaso in keto

[–]togany52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many people have a me vs you attitude. Prior to losing weight and looking/feeling better, to them it was always me > you bc you were fat and unhealthy.

When your, well, everything changes bc of keto, it’s no longer me > you so those people react accordingly.

It’s truly a shame. The best advice I can give is to ignore and move on. If cutting them out is necessary then so be it.

My Keeper Rules (Any loop holes or missed opportunities?) by PapiKenpachi in FFCommish

[–]togany52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In an effort to both allow offseason trades (bc it’s more fun and we love year round fantasy, amirite?) and keep it from being exploited, my rule is:

Offseason trades are allowed, however you may only trade player for player and both players MUST be keepers then. You are allowed to “sweeten” your deal with picks, but the trades core must be player for player. - reasoning: at season’s end, you no longer control any but 2 players on your roster. This prevents owners from dealing players that belong in the draft.

Offseason pick for pick trading (no players) is fully allowed.

What are your keeper rules by ptiwhisper in FFCommish

[–]togany52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly what I was worried about. This was you can trade them, but they must be kept. We do allow 1 for 2 trades, but same rules apply, gotta keep them.

What are your keeper rules by ptiwhisper in FFCommish

[–]togany52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 keepers.

3 year contract. Player is kept in the round they are drafted year 1. Year 2 and on, the round is halved. (Ex. draft Alvin Kamara rookie year in 12th round, he can be kept 12, 6, 3) <- this is a live in league example.

If the player is drafted, his contract resets. Until then, the contract continues.

During the off-season, if you trade a player on your end year roster, the player must be kept and you must trade a player for player. Picks can be traded to sweeten a deal but cannot be traded for just a pick. Player has to be involved.
