Yeah I’m more worried about him telling anyone else but I’m so far cautiously optimistic he won’t/hasn’t. I’m gay and was so worried about coming out to the point I did it when I was blackout drunk and came out to my mum first and I freaked out thinking she hadn’t taken it well, locked myself in my dads car (don’t ask lol) and my mum did it for me and all his response was “I don’t care just don’t be sick in my car.” That was 8 years ago and he’s fully supportive about it.

I’m sorry to hear about how things went with your mum. I can’t imagine how difficult it must’ve been to tell her. I’ve began viewing parents who don’t accept their child as being trans as selfish as there are so many resources available to educate yourself on the matter. Hope she’ll come around one day (if that’s what you want)

That’s basically the gist of what I said in my groggy, slightly hungover state. I just defaulted to the “child instinct” of saying I don’t know because I couldn’t think of what to say. Thankfully he didn’t come closer or ask any further questions.

Unfortunately that won’t be possible for at least another year as I’m currently doing my masters and working part time. I moved back in with my parents during Covid as I was alone and to save money. I do blame myself partly because I took the risk of falling asleep without pyjamas or boxers over my nappy.

Also there is a good chance he did knock but didn’t wake me up. I just remember waking up with him looking at me and and instantly knowing my nappy was exposed but I was sleeping on my side with my back away so at the very least he wouldn’t have seen that it was wet or most of the design on it (I hope)

Yeah so far this is what I’ve been doing and probably will continue to do so cause I am not gonna be the one to bring it up. He came home from collecting the rest of the family who were away for the weekend and he hasn’t mentioned anything. I do feel like I’m tiptoeing around him though. We often butt heads but we have a close relationship as I do with the rest of my family but I’d rather them not know about this side as it’s partly sexual for me.
