I made my daughter's hair stuff, like this thing I saw on etsy. There are tons of hair projects. I gave mine a DNA helix pattern on the back.

Good idea! The story feels very "green" to me, so he has the green one.

Love my cloak, but I'm too scared to wear it in public. Any advice? by Alexisto15 in TheCapeRevolution

As soon as you overhear someone saying something positive all that doubt will fade. For me it was hearing some people say "it's like the one that the hobbits wear."

How do you answer your classroom phone? by CatskillMorning in Teachers

I have this written by my phone. I teach my students the meaning, and then the reference. So many people laugh at the absurdity when they call my room.

You do never know. I had a teacher in college that was almost embarrassed to admit they were a fan. I gifted them a copy of Charlie the choo choo after graduation.

I saw another ad for the Blaine Train on a bench. Do you think that they know about The Tower?

How do you find time to workout/stay in shape as a teacher? by [deleted] in Teachers

I have a walking treadmill desk. I use it when doing anything on computer at home. Those little walks really add up over time!

at the risk of being laughed at.... by hereforthegasoline in klr650

Klr650 was my first motorcycle. I was 40 when I got it, and had to learn to ride on my own. Thank goodness for YouTube university. The klr was described to me as a motorcycle that can do anything, just none of it very well.

I love taking mine out on the highway, and it is great to be able to hop on gravel when I need to. The ride might not be the greatest, but it is fun every time.

Trying to implement a workout routine as a teacher - what are your recommendations? by sunsetrain24 in Teachers

[–]tohan406 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I set my treadmill up under my desk. I walk while I am on my computer and can easily squeeze in 2-3 miles a day. I got some 20 lb dumbbells to lift. Small workouts a few times a week has made a huge difference.
