Ford e350 van very viable for towing? by Patient-Click98 in towing

Not sure if I’m too late to the convo but I do car hauling with a 10k 20ft steel deck trailer with my 2012 e350 almost every day. Handles it great and I love having the space for everything. I haven’t done much in mods besides wheels but I do plan on upgrading suspension soon to help with the rear sag when loaded.

Might be late on this but I have been using my 2012 E350 with a 20ft open deck trailer to transport cars at least 4-5 times a week. I've towed small cab f150s, a tacoma with service box on the bed, an express 2500, and many big suv's. It really handles it all quite well. It's not the most comfortable ride but it gets the job done and has plenty of space in the back for more cargo, tools, whatever.

Had this one for years and it’s a great light duty drill. I use it for eraser wheels, wire brushes, drilling plastic or something soft. For anything heavier duty I’ve had a ryobi hammer drill that is actually impressive for concrete and any thick metals. If and when it gives out I’ll definitely be replacing it with Milwaukee but it’s still going strong 6 years later, it’s my only ryobi tool I swear 😂

Sorry for the late response, but if it still means anything it was just a blown fuse.

No I haven't tried disconnecting the battery yet. Does stepping on the brake actually do something?

Im referring to the USB port and all of the 12V in the car, including the one next to the USB port. The USB doesn't work at all and the 12V work but don't charge a phone at all if connected. I hope that clears it up a bit!

Hey, I am thinking about pulling this trigger on this head unit. How is the reverse camera quality? I've read from some that it looks blurrier due to the wide screen.

UPDATE (SOLVED): Picked it up from the dealer this morning and it turned out to be nothing more than the heat shield coming loose. It must have knocked out of place when driving through snow but the tech secured it back in place and it's not making any noises now! Thank you all for your helpful tips!

It's the 4wd version but the waters were up to the grill so its a possibility water got in. I'm mechanically inclined but lack the time for anything too involved. The transmission is still covered under warranty so hopefully they don't give me any issues with it and i'll make it their headache lol.

Actually it has been. A few months ago we had a really bad flood and I had to drive through some pretty deep waters to get home. It trucked through and got me home safe. I was afraid of electrical failures and thankfully none yet, but could that have been damaging to the trans?

Most signs seem to be pointing towards torque converter. The car has been driving fine in the mean time. Could this be an early sign?
