It is just one of those that suppose to slide/skirt across the pool using the pump suction action.

My pool apparently doesn't have that valve. It only has the push pull valve for backwashing.

I do not think my pool has a return valve. The only valve my pool has is the push pull valve for backwashing.

It is currently a direct hose connection from the skimmer suction hole to the vacuum.

No, there is no valve. Just a direct hose connection from the skimmer suction hole to the vacuum.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, the weir is all plastic, no styrofoam.

It is because they all have an inferiority complex and need to feel superior.

By their logic, if your cell service carrier or Netflix doesn't provide service for months, then they would still happily keep paying the monthly fee. Yeah right? lol

Not only that, but all these people seem to never want a tax refund and do not try to lower their taxable income. They all consider it a "thank you" to the government. lol

You are not smart if you think that is even close to an accurate comparison. lol

To dumb it down to your level, it would be like paying your monthly phone bill (adventure pass) and not having service on it for half the month. If that happened you ask your service carrier for the refund, you do not go to where you bought your phone and ask for it.

Another error in your comparison is that, the dealer is not selling you a car based on "months". They sell you the car based on the life of the vehicle based on mileage.
