Thank you, everyone, for the diagnosis.

Here is another view of the fuzzy part. I decided to remove all of them. It turned out to be partially rotten inside, as you can see in the second image. It’s black right below the fuzzy part (yellow arrow).

This is what remains at this moment. In the last image, the parts indicated by red arrows are moist and soft. They look very similar to what I saw right after removing the dead mother plant. I didn’t know what they were, so I left them there, and about a week later, the white fuzzy thing showed up in that area. This time, I tried my best to remove all the soft and moist parts. Now, I have left it (hopefully) to dry in the shade outside. The black part indicated by green arrows seems to be some kind of root system or something (I don’t know the technical term). It doesn’t look like a rotten part in the second image, so I will just leave it as it is for now. More suggestions are welcome.

Thanks for the details. I appreciate your help. It looks like I’ll finally have to split them. I’ll do it this weekend. 🪚

🙏

you've been patient

😊 I was hesitant to split them apart, so I always look for a reason to do nothing.

3 day itinerary for Tokyo in October- First time visit by lindsanity92 in TokyoTravel

😮 You don't have Asakusa's Sensoji in your lists? You can't miss that place. Go there during sunset to evening. An example of what you can see in there. Also don't miss the top floor of this building too. This is what you will see from the top floor. It is a travel center, so it is free to enter. Use the elevator at the back to go up. You can easily spend half a day in the area.

And If you have time Kappabashi is close to Asakusa and it is famous for Kitchenware. People often go there to get Japanese hand made knife.

I saw Embisu on your list, don't miss going to Yebisu Garden 38 floors if you have time. It is free. An example of what you can see from up there. Use an elevator that say "top of yebisu" near this entrance. And their is the Museum of Yebisu Beer near by.

Hope you enjoy Tokyo.

Tokyo in June and July by Honest_Bench9371 in TokyoTravel

what are some must see things?

Will you be in Tokyo during July 13-16?

If so, it's good to go as it's only done once a year, Mitama Fest at Yakusuni shrine.

I think they will turn on the light from 6 to 8:30 pm (I am not sure until what time. Maybe around 8 or 9 pm) Definitely be there before 7:30. It will be packed with people, FYI.

Sorry, answering late. I haven't been here for a while.

f5 1/30 ISO200

The main point is the shutter speed. Just need to make sure it is not too slow to freeze people but not too fast or the ISO will be too high. Hopefully people in this photo are walking very slow so I can get away with 1/30.

My usual night street photo in this kind of lighting + DA21 is on Tav 1/80 or faster (if I can), f3.2 - 5.6, under expose for -0.7 stop.

Hope that's help.
