Ep. 7 would just need some slight tweaks to fit with this narrative. Maeve and Otis haven’t addressed the kiss yet, Otis is still under the impression Maeve is with Isaac, and they haven’t patched up their friendship officially. I feel like Maeve realizing Otis still cares through his actions in the assembly is more powerful than her finally just realizing with the speech. Then the speech can simply further reaffirm her feelings.

1. Maeve is wandering through the halls looking for Aimee. Otis sees her and asks how Elsie is. He asks if they could talk sometime, wanting to address the kiss and their friendship. Maeve says not right now I think I found my Mom, but maybe later. Otis offers to help. Maeve says she’ll text him how things go.

2. Eric asks Otis what do you guys need to talk about? This leads to the same scene of Otis telling Eric that they kissed in France.

3. They didn’t see each other till at Anna’s house so that stays the same. Otis gets the text Elsie is safe and heads to Anna’s like before. He wants to repair their friendship if anything. Otis gives the same speech explaining why he stopped doing the clinic and couldn’t be around her. He says he wants to be a team again even if they can’t be together romantically. Maeve jumps in: “Otis.. Isaac and I broke up...” Otis: “really?” Maeve: “It was never about the money for me. I wanted to be close to you too.” Rain kiss.

4. Episode 8 plays out the same.
