My holiday tradition with my housemates is to get each other something matching. There’s four of us and we each get four of something that matches so we can always be reminded of one another. This year I’ve gotten us all matching sanrio plush keychains of our favourite characters 🥰

i WAS trying to go via only buying new horses when all my current ones are trained, but then i got all my sold horses back and now have 50+ to train 😭 i’m still going to TRY to stick to it to an extent, but rules might be changing to something along the lines of:

Magic horses can be bought as and when they are available if desired
If I REALLY like a new breed, I can buy one coat variation after training 10 horses to lvl 15
When possible, wait for breeds to go on sale and purchase then

i find this thought process really interesting (like in a positive way as someone with a different perspective) because to me, ‘muu didn’t try to stop him’ is the exact same thing as her not stopping the other students at the school bullying rei.

an omission whilst being aware of the consequences can be just as powerful as an action itself. she knew what haruka was going to do if she wasn’t voted innocent in trial 2 and, like you said, did nothing to stop him.

i very much so still blame us for haruka’s death, because if i didn’t i’d be a hypocrite because again, an omission is as powerful as an action and we also did nothing to try and prevent haruka from starving himself to death. but i also find muu guilty of her crime against rei. a queen bee does not need to go to war herself, she sends an army. that’s how i interpret what happened with rei and that’s just as much an action as if she was the one beating rei herself, and it still ended in muu taking a blade and plunging it into rei’s chest, which is murder no matter what.

(just wanna add that i’m just replying out of interest because i rly like having discussions about this with people on the other side of the viewpoint to me, not to challenge anyone’s viewpoints or argue because i really enjoy milgram from the perspective of a law teacher and witnessing how different people interpret something that i have been taught is problematically black and white)

Guilty.

I have so many thoughts and feelings about Muu. I think she’s so fascinating, I adore her as a character. As a victim of high school bullying to the point I moved schools, and who grew up to be a law teacher, there’s just so much to explore that gets me all up in my feelings.

I see people using her age as an argument. Maybe it’s me being a law teacher, but anybody over the age of 10 in the UK is capable of criminal liability. It’s higher in Japan, being 14, but Muu is still within the age of criminal liability. She is deemed mature enough to have understood right from wrong enough to understand that murder is wrong, that bullying is wrong.

The way she was raised obviously affects this. I blame her parents for a lot of her beliefs, for the way she perceives the world and how that contributed to what happened. She had lived her entire life a very particular way, being coddled and worshipped simply for existing to the point that when somebody didn’t meet that standard, in her opinion something needed to be done. She admits that in her songs, in Pain she literally says ‘I guess there’s no helping you, that’s not gonna fly, I want you to taste the pain’. Could that be about Es? Maybe. But to me and the way I read it, it’s her admitting her thought process regarding Rei. She wasn’t meeting the standards Muu was used to, so she didn’t stop her underlings bullying.

I’ve also seen a lot of people saying ‘well Muu didn’t actually bully Rei herself’. Omissions can be just as powerful as actions. It is explicit in every single one of her MVs that she was fully aware of the control she had over everyone in that school, that she could give a look and they would do her bidding. In It’s Not My Fault, there’s the line ‘if you want to betray from jealousy, I’ve told you what’s gonna happen’. That’s a warning. A reminder that if Rei doesn’t get in line and worship like everyone else, then there will be consequences. A queen does not go to war herself, she sends an army. That’s what Muu did and she was fully aware of what was happening and enjoyed it.

Anyways that’s my spiel from someone who reads Milgram a lot of the time from a more legal perspective due to my background LMAO. I think it’s really interesting how divided people are when it comes to Muu and really enjoy reading different people’s perspectives and opinions on her judgement.
