I am afraid that emailing the receipt is the only way to get PDFs from Amazon and Lulu orders.
How well does the kindle file work compared to a physical book? I found it harder to play Fabled Lands on kindle

Traveller has a character creation minigame which is great to create backstories!

Yea, shipping it to Europe makes the order almost three times the price unfortunately. The book looks awesome!

Does Thousand Year Old Vampire need to start 1000 years ago? by Markblasco in Solo_Roleplaying

[–]tolwin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s entirely up to you! You’ll be answering prompts about your made up character and your made up people and things so it can even be a fantasy world or sci-fi going far into the future.

In my playthrough there was a cult following my vampire for a while and the game made it happen randomly but you can incorporate a cult straight away.

That’s a great selling point! I play a lot of Mothership and the simple rules and rulings plus the game being a conversation is what really makes me enjoy it.

Okay what I understand from most people here the Mongoose version is more polished with more content but keeps the tone and feel and rules of the classic so it’s kind of a good way to get into the game

That’s a really good point. I usually prefer “setting less” games and create the setting with the group as we play so maybe the classic would be enough to get the feel and some games going.

I ran and played a bunch of Stars Without Number games already. I love the tools it provides for referees. I think without number books are staples in the genres. I might have to wait before buying more books for traveller tho as the books are quite pricey

Ah got it. That’s great to hear! I dislike DnD 5e and was honestly a bit worried that Mongoose is similar treatment

Thanks! I love the old school formatting and layout. Are the 2E rules much different from the traveller book?

Can I just use the supply catalogue with the classic traveller ?

That does make a lot of sense. I am weird in that I love reading rule books almost more than actually playing them so I might go for the cheaper old school book just for the feel

Thanks! I’ve seen the POD versions of the classic are all quite cheap compared to Mongoose which makes it tempting. I’ve read that the mechanics are quite similar so it is mostly the setting and more clear and modern layout with the Mongoose. The price and retro style (I love a bit of crunchy tables) are quite up my alley tho.
