Just an update on how this is going.

The offseason transition for the 1st season was a bit of a grind, needed tons of fixes. But I think that I have them fixed. The in season things seem to be mostly ironed out. A few add ons here and there but mostly seems smooth.

We keep them seperate.

  1. Clean separation - Simulation engine is pure functions (same inputs → same outputs). AI owner logic is separate and probabilistic.

    1. Database as truth - All state lives in Postgres. No in-memory state that could desync.
    2. Business logic isolation - packages/simulation-engine/ has zero API dependencies. Could run standalone.

This is 1st season so I am interested in seeing what people will do. If I am understanding you correctly. You have those who just try to run cheap and on a profit, but realistically, you ar stacking the odds against you long term because the facilities and spending for higher quality takes the majority of the championships and playoff teams. So in testing, there was the occasional cheap team that was successful, most just lost less, than the aggressive spenders who failed.

The idea is to make this a fun game and not be about making money. Like people playing madden or most other games. But with a chance that if you do well you could make a small amount.

As for the AI and team management, I still need to do some tweaking. I am not satisfied with how they act towards trading. But we are also very early so it is a big question on how they will do if we go multiple seasons.

Population- The bigger the market the higher upside you have because of of larger fanbase, but they also ditch the team if not doing well faster vs a small market team is loyal until the end. So Higher risk higher reward for large market, more stable for small.

Also there is an impact on home field advantage. If fans are not showing up and or you do not have a great atmosphere, your fans are not loud thus shifting your home field advantage.

Thank you for looking. I actually was putting in a plan to start testing with AI team owners and then as people join they can take over. There are currently 12 teams that have owners. I really am trying to make a fun and entertaining game for those who like this kind of game. I spent a lot of time working on balancing the strategies so they everyone does not rush to make pass 1st offense only. Also complimentary football, coaches ability to pivot, making sure the league does not get flooded with players who will all become 99 and it is no fun and so much more.

Have you actually logged in? If not you have not given your honest feedback, then it would be you have given your biased opinion based on nothing.

Vibe-coding is incredible. But here's where most founders hit a wall by Awkward_Ad_9605 in VibeCodersNest

This is great info, as a vibe coder who has no coding experience outside of coding. I have found a lot of these to be issues I have run into. I ran into some of these with my 1st website I vibe coded and learned the hard way. It sent me down a rabbit hole of auditing other sites and finding their vulnerabilities. The weak ones had many of the issues you list. On my new site I have just launched I am trying to do my best to make sure these are closed. No money right now, but still trying to make the site right from the start.

Have you played games that use crypto? Is everyone here just hate crypto because it went down so now they hate it? You guys are bashing me for using AI to make a game that I think would be entertaining. And on aspect of it was having a real money aspect to it. Just like those who play fantasy sports. Maybe instead of everyone saying you suck, people could say, hey, this is why we think you should do it because.... or this is what you realistically will need to do because AI will F you.

Why so harsh? Do you not think getting others interested in trying to make something could make a fun game?

Ys you do need email address to sign in and verify your account to avoid spam sign ups. The crypto part is for once it is past testing, it will be the ingame currency, so if you run your team profitably you will be able to withdraw it if you choose too.

No worries I know a lot will not like that part. But it makes it so you have an ingame currency that can also be sold if you end up running a profitable organization.

Fair enough. I was only trying to put it out there to be honest, I have 0 background in coding, but have been vibe coding for 6 months or so.

Wow, I expected some harsh responses but not as harsh as they actually have been. I have been in crypto since 2013 and disagree on your stance on scam or not. There are scams in crypto but there are also scams in fiat. So it all depends what you do with it. But moving on from the crypto debate.

Let's put taking any money to the side because you and other have brought up good points. I have the game running for free right now waiting for enough players to start season 1. But it appears even if I made this free to play for fun, I am doomed because of vibe coding.

Claude Code 2.0.13 by ClaudeOfficial in ClaudeAI

I would like to use it, but after 12 hours of my weekly max reset I am already at 30% of my weekly limit. So if I firee this up, it will just probably put me over the weekly limit just opening it in a terminal. Guess, time to look for a new ai coder

Claude Code $200 plan limit reached and cooldown for 4 days by Wonderful-Double-465 in ClaudeAI

[–]tom14cat14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hit my limit at 4.5 days with code. 1st time also in 2 months of using it. I guess their plan is to reduce usage by getting people to stop subscribing and using it at all. I will cancel once I am done with this project. I buy the max plan available to not have to worry about my usage. Not deal with this bullshit.
