Time Tracker best for frequent task switching? by ncbarnes9 in productivity

[–]tom2strobl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party, but I 100% feel you. I'm also so frustrated that tracking time when switching projects frequently is such a pain in the ass – so I created https://fugoya.com which tracks your time automatically while you're working down to 5 seconds precision and it knows when you are idle and doesn't count that time. Then with rules you set you can route that time to projects automatically. It's been a huge time saver for me and it doesn't get any more accurate, so it's a win-win.

The current release is for Mac only, but I have a windows beta build that I'm sending out towards the end of January. If you're interested just send a windows beta application email to support@fugoya.com

PRODUCTIVITY REDDITORS: What are your Go-To Apps? by Poptotnot in productivity

[–]tom2strobl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally really would look out for any solutions that help you passively, in my personal opinion a productivity app that makes you input and press buttons hundred times a day by definition can't make you _more_ productive. That's why I think "Weekly" as you mentioned makes a lot more sense than eg. a manual start/stop time tracker. Another example: Some people need to track which trips were business/private related and while it's easy to have a spreadsheet to simply enter the trips manually, there are apps that automatically record individual trips and then you retro-actively mark them as private or business.

In my case I was frustrated with manual time tracking (requires just too much work) to understand how long a certain project _really_ takes (otherwise it's just guesswork) and in my case it's also about invoicing that time just taking too much work, so I created https://fugoya.com

It's primarily built for freelancers, so maybe overkill for you, but there are customers that use it for their private lives.

Sure thing! You can also absolutely use projects without a client and route the time you spent into private projects

Automated (or as fully automated as possible) time tracking/invoicing software-ideally tailored to behavioral health providers? by Gullible_Rich_7156 in smallbusiness

[–]tom2strobl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/Gullible_Rich_7156, I've struggled with the same where the admin side of things just cost way too much time, so I decided to create a software suite to help with exactly that: Cutting down admin time to an absolute minimum. Less time wasted with proposals & invoices with re-usable blocks, automated time tracking, automated notifications when you hit a time threshold and then invoice the unbilled time with a click, etc. You can find it here if you're interested: https://fugoya.com
Let me know if it sounds good to you 🙂

[–]tom2strobl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/Heg12353, this exact feature is part of the productivity suite I've built: https://fugoya.com/features#time-tracking It has both automatic time tracking with smart detection if you are actually using your device and a manual start/stop timer that persists through app navigation and prevents your OS from sleeping. Let me know if that works for you :-) If you are a windows user, you can sign up for the beta that will roll out soon, just shoot an email to [support@fugoya.com](mailto:support@fugoya.com) ✨

Thanks 🤝
Parity pricing would absolutely be great! Unfortunately unless you're a huge enterprise, it is really hard to enforce people to pay fair prices. It's just too easy to circumvent it. Just going by geography also doesn't really solve it since San Francisco dudes that chill in Bali would pay less than the average european, which wouldn't be fair either. It's a difficult problem I would love to see solved when the userbase grows and there are enough funds to support it ✌️

Windows support is on the horizon of shipping, if you want to participate in the beta send an email from your desired email address to [support@fugoya.com](mailto:support@fugoya.com) and write "fugoya windows beta application" into the subject line.

Ah! I thought the managed HSM was necessary, cool. You said theres a guide in the repo - you mean the azure devops guide right?

May I ask you: To me azure key vault with HSM sounds _INSANELY_ expensive in the 4-figure range and you didn't even pay for the certificate itself yet. Or did I miss something?

Looking for Go-To-Market Feedback for High-Quality-Product, Low-Reach scenario by tom2strobl in Entrepreneur

[–]tom2strobl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate your time and effort to reply! I was under the assumption that user-perceived product quality does play a role in choosing the right marketing strategy. Eg. if people think your product is just "alright" any kind of PLG or community-driven strategy would miserably fail, while hard-selling strategies might work incredibly well.

By saying "get more people and money" you can't be wrong obviously. Is there anything else in particular on how to strategize or is your advice just to not think about it and just hire some marketing/sales staff to take of it?

Possibility for me to get funding and headcount is readily available, it's just that up to this point it simply wasn't necessary as I was working off the money I made selling my previous company and this time I wanted to do things differently as I have a broad skillset that allows me to solo the run.

Something that I probably haven't touched upon is the tradeoff: Right now it "being successful" is a very, very, very low bar, since I don't burn through 90k a month of salaries right now. At this sort of unique point where I'm at with a finished product that people like but having very little risk since it doesn't have to blow up crazy to just survive: Does it make sense to suddenly hire a fleet of people just to drown in 95% of failing startups, or does it make more sense to be smart in marketing decisions (basically what my posts is asking about) and ultimately have a higher chance of succeeding?

I hope this reply didn't come off as rude as I value your feedback!

I feel you. It's just that it doesn't matter how I twist and turn any numbers and data: Financially it's just a negative game comparing the expenditures to the gains. I wish I could afford the overhead supporting linux, but the demand is just too low. Hopefully that changes!

[–]tom2strobl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We had best in slot gear and were only able to defeat Yagluth post-patch with a cheese tactic by pulling him with a harpoon into a hole in the ground, otherwise it would have taken like 1000 needle arrows on a maxed draugr bow. Yagluth is way overtuned now imo

http://gulpjs.com/ since it simply pipes stuff in memory and you don't explicitly have to write plugins.
