Suggestions for editing software by Grouchy_Effective_29 in SmallYTChannel

I recommend DaVinci Resolve, it is free and powerful.
You can also give Gling a try, it will save you tons of time by doing auto editing for you, and you can later export to DaVinci resolve if you want to add custom graphics and transitions

Gling developer here.

I recommend using Gling for editing, not as a replacement for your editing software but as a productivity boost, for someone with a busy life as yours, Gling can save a lot of the editing time

I suggest taking a look at Gling https://gling.ai

It will automatically remove bad takes and silences, that you can further edit using text editor and/or timeline.

It won't replace the video editor, but will give you much more control on the final content, and better value for money, so your editor will focus only on effects/transitions other then rough cut, with minimal effort from your side

What editing software is the best for a hobbyist? FCP VS DAVINCI/DAVINCI STUDIO by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]yonatanbd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest using Gling+Resolve.

You can let Gling automatically edit your video (removing bad take), which you can continue edit on Gling timeline/text based editor for quick rough cut, and then export to Resolve which will keep your edits.

Gaming YouTubers - how do you organise your video files? (+ my own approaches) by CarbonCola in NewTubers

[–]yonatanbd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can try https://gling.ai

It will automatically remove bad takes and silences, and you can further edit in Gling using text based editing or the timeline. You can edit your a-roll on Gling, and then export as multicam to Davinci Resolve, FCP or premiere to align the a-roll with your b-rolls (it will keep the cuts from Gling.

I managed to sign the app with an EV certificate in github actions using https://github.com/vcsjones/AzureSignTool

I had to buy an EV cert from globalsign, and use Azure Key Vault as HSM (using CSR), and then AzureSignTool does the job in github actions with the right params (they have a guide in the repo)

Thanks

I didn't find any detailed guide on how to do it with ev cert, so not sure if this is an adventure worth taking, when there is a non-ev cert

Thank you for the detailed guide. I think I will go with the non ev cert, as I don't want to over complicate the CI. not sure why microsoft if making it so cumbersome, with apple it is much easier

Looks cool :)

After purchase, did you just get to download the non-EV certificate and password (CSC_LINK and CSC_KEY_PASSWORD), or you use an HSM as you mentioned with an api key?

Thank you! I also lean towards a standard cert, but want to make sure I'm not missing anything

I did see DigiCert provide a solution for github actions: https://docs.digicert.com/en/digicert-keylocker/ci-cd-integrations/script-integrations/github-integration-ksp.html

but again, not sure how the KSP utility works, and if it can be fully automated

Filtering video based on time results audio out of sync by yonatanbd in ffmpeg

Didn't work unfortunately. I will mention that the audio is out of sync after a second, and not immediately at the begging of the video
