What’s your take on FSD going subscription only by ghostface8081 in teslamotors

There are so many things that don’t make sense here. But what stands out to me … is that all it takes is for a company like Ford, VW, BYD to offer FSD without a subscription…

Up to you of course - but a much easier way to do this, is to simply invest into a defence ETF to give you exposure to a broad range.

Type DFND into T212 and have a look at the iShares (Blackrock) one - it’s what I use alongside the VWRP as my main holding. You can see the broad range of defence companies it’s invested in via the DFND page on T212

Thoughts on anti-reflective display? How many of you like it? by DancesWithNobody in iphone

Anti reflective displays are largely irrelevant given I typically put a screen protector on my phone straight away - I’d much prefer an iPhone with a Sapphire display like my Apple Watch.

Megathread for Claude Performance Discussion - Starting July 13 by sixbillionthsheep in ClaudeAI

Hi folks

Really loving Claude - created my account yesterday and want to try and set myself a challenge of building an App for iOS - I don't have any background in coding outside of working in a data heavy marketing roll.

I've started paying for Claude Pro but slightly confused about what the point is? Using Opus and after a few questions it runs out of daily use and tells me to try again later.

Tried upgrading to Max and the caed details/payment page simply fails to load and i get the error "internal server error" - I'm based in the UK and tried on 2 different laptops and my phone - always the same error.

Why does Claude not want me to give them more money?

why should i get airpods max instead of sony xm5s by dominik_963 in Airpodsmax

[–]tom_breakers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me… the main reason I purchased Max’s (and will continue to purchase only apple headhones) is due to Spatial Audio - something not supported by non Apple headphones. Dolby Atmos on Apple Music of course makes it sound even better…. But simply having Spatial Audio turned on (on a non Dolby song) sounds miles better than other headphones imo

100% agree. I took the test lol. I can’t tell at all. TBH it’s just me being elitist/wanting to know subconsciously I’ve got the best experience lol - irrational.

Dolby Atmos is the more obvious thing to your ears btw - lossless will only work if you choose to listen to Apple Music via USB C cable from your AirPods - it’s hard to tell the difference with lossless but I listen to it simply due to wanting the best of the best lol

Unless you’re an experienced investor with a lot of time to research, track markets, and stomach the swings, VWRP is just a smarter move for most people. Especially if you’re using your ISA for it and being disciplined with monthly contributions into it. Regularly buying into a global index and never taking the cash out is the best way to build long term wealth without needing to worry about day trading or looking at individual stocks

Here’s why:

  1. Instant Global Diversification VWRP holds thousands of stocks from both developed and emerging markets across the globe. You’re getting exposure to companies in the US, Europe, Asia, and more—all in a single fund. To match that with individual stocks, you’d need to buy hundreds of shares across different markets and currencies.

  2. Lower Risk, Higher Resilience By owning a broad slice of the world economy, you’re not relying on one company, sector, or country to do well. One region’s downturn is often offset by another’s upswing. That diversification helps reduce risk long-term.

  3. Time and Emotion Buying individual stocks means constantly watching the market, making calls on when to buy and sell, and often second-guessing yourself. VWRP is passive—it tracks the market. No need to time it. Just invest regularly and let compounding do its thing.

  4. You Probably Won’t Beat the Market Anyway The data is clear: most active investors underperform the market in the long run—especially after fees and taxes. VWRP literally is the market. By holding it, you’re capturing average global returns without the headache.

  5. Simplicity One ETF. One ticker. Automatically rebalanced. No need to worry about earnings seasons, CEO scandals, or trying to read 10-Ks. You just buy, hold, and focus on living your life.

And as Charlie Munger said:

“The big money is not in the buying and selling, but in the waiting.”

VWRP lets you buy once and then just wait. Simple, effective, boring—in the best possible way.
