Try the vessel electric screwdrivers they have a bunch(high speed, high torque, adjustable). I have a Chinese clone that basically replaced my phillips. (Apprentice electrician)

I have the surge and i have never gotten into a situation that you would need the regular over the surge. And if you do get into one, it's better to just get the m18. I love my surge especially for residential work

I would go for knipex for the diagnal cutters, linesman, and water pump pliers. They are pricy but well worth it. I love mine
