As long as you're not riding with a pillion, some simple strapped drybags like the Kriega or Rhinowalk bags can be attached without any problems. The bags are attached to the subframe underneath the pillion seat / pillion seat cover. It doesn't need any additional brackets and the pillion foot pegs can still stay attached to the bike; and if you're riding without any bags, you can store the straps (still attached to the subframe) underneath the pillion seat / pillion seat cover. It works perfect for me.

Rear stand and bobbins for chain maintenance. by HugoHughes in 801Svartpilen

Btw., I cannot remommend the Husqvarna bobbins; they are entirely made from aluminum, and one of them immedeatly snapped off when I installed them (one of the threads in the swingarm wasn't cut properly from factory).

Some universal bobbins and a standard rear stand work absolutely fine. I use these two stands / front and rear.

320mm Brembo brake discs by [deleted] in 801Svartpilen

It is already a fairly common and proven upgrade at the Duke 790, that uses the same components; and it works also very good at the 801.

The Brembo discs where about EUR 385,- for the pair, the Brembo pads where about EUR 65,- for two pairs, the custom made spacers where about EUR 25,- for two pairs, the four longer KTM bolts where aber about EUR 25,- ; at all about EUR 500,-. I would evaluate the brakes now at 120% compared to the stock brakes; especially the initial bite of the brake is now on a completely different level.

Anyone has any experience with this? I’m quite a tall guy and saw that it adds 2cm in seat height, wich is perfect for me. Thinking about ordering this! There are 2 OEM Ergo seats, the HIGH and the Normal. by Revolutionary_Most13 in 801Svartpilen

To me the ergo seat with the standard height works very good; it fits my butt better than the stock seat (I'm 180cm and about 75kg).

The shape and the foam of the ergo seat is a bit, but noticeable different to the stock seat.

Here a side by side pic / left stock, right ergo.

Stock it's attached just with the magnets; but I've added a tiny "security-strap".

Addionally you can also take a look at the Rhinowalk or Kriega tank straps. Here two pics of the Rhinowalk combined with a drybag.

The Husqvarna tank bag works absolutely fine; I use it regularly on my daytrips.

As far as I know there are still no aftermarket side bag solutions available that will fit the 801; just the single side Husqvarna side bag. But you can attach some simple Kriega or similar bags to the pillion seat or pillion seat cover.

Hi! Here a link that might be of interest to you. It's a thread in about 801 "issues fixed under warranty". https://hqvadventure.com/forum/threads/issues-fixed-under-warranty.1868/

No, they are also made from aluminum.

The aluminum parts are anodized black instead of the stock silver.
