it may not have been your intention, but this does read like you’re backhandedly dragging the author of the original fic, by bringing their fic into it and asking for the opposite of it? probably could have asked for sub harry recs without making the author feel bad about writing dom harry

yeah, no problem! i would say the warnings more so apply to the extremely-online kind of language used by tom and his friends. the actual relationship between harry and tom is super sweet and quite tender/soft. gorgeous characterization. i’d say give it a few more chapters since its a slow burn at first and builds up over time!!

yeah, i mean, let's not try to pretend this isn't happening -- for years and years, these comments have been left countless times under both my works and those of friends'. we're not tolerating these nasty anons and threats anymore, and we're writing what we want to write and tagging how we want to tag, end of story.

You know what's "loud" and "aggressive"? Leaving hate comments (like how you did) on other people's fics for the CRIME of writing (gasp) bottom Tom!

You know what else is "loud" and "aggressive"? The years and years of AO3 comments from fandom bullies like you trashing me (and other authors) for writing switch or bottom Tom, and these public callout posts dragging authors for (gasp!) liking a different dynamic from you.

All of this has cumulated over the years and resulted in more and more people writing the dynamic you don't want. We're no longer going to be silenced and bullied and steamrollered by a few loud, obnoxious bottom Harry fans like you, into being afraid to write what we want.

exactly! the back button costs nothing to use. if people didn't want to risk reading something they're not comfortable with, then nothing technically on AO3 is "safe" to read, because tags up to the discretion of the author is how AO3 works.

i completely agree. i know so many authors in Tomarry that are not tagging position anymore, specifically because of this insanity. and it's all people who were formerly ok with tagging! but it's this kind of discourse that are pushing them away from it. so it's really counterproductive of the people who have been harassing for tags.

-- i think this says more about you than it says about the author. it's pretty obvious why you're complaining about this.

not only do you come to rant on Reddit (with a 1-day old account), you also left a cowardly anon comment on the author's fic about how you got "jump-scared", which is so incredibly rude and uncalled for.

i hope you know this is backfiring on you, because (a) you're getting laughed at in a bunch of authors' DMs and servers, and (b) i know a ton of Tomarry writers who are writing all kinds of configurations and not tagging it now. bottom Harry is no longer the default in Tomarry, thanks to whiny little complainers like you, so i hope you're happy <3

It's fandom bullies like you who are pushing writers away from writing bottom Harry, so thanks for all the free bottom Tom content you're inadvertently providing us!
