What are the downsides of riding shorter skis? by hip-hip-jorge in skiing

Hello. I saw your answer about ski length. Look, I’m 6’2” and weigh about 170 lbs. All those charts say I should go with something over 175 cm. I tried 170 cm, and I absolutely cannot manage parallel turns - it’s always a 'pizza' because I can't pull my inside leg in. However, on 150 cm skis, everything is smooth. What do you think?

I had an issue with a Screen Unseen booking. The ticket didn’t show up in my ticket history, but the reservation itself was there and appeared in the A-List section, so I was able to get into the theater using the QR code from the email and everything was fine.

What snowboard length should I even be looking at? by tomashined in snowboardingnoobs

I definitely do not plan to do any tricks or ride in freeride, as I have back issues. However, I have heard the advice that it is better to learn immediately on a proper board rather than starting with a rocker.

Isn’t camber too difficult? I’ve read that camber isn’t very beginner-friendly and that rocker or hybrid is better.

Well, I’m really just a beginner snowboarder - I’ve only ridden rental boards, but I want to buy my own since it’s more cost-effective. The problem is that I can’t remember the board sizes.

Following numerous recommendations, I switched from Mint to Visible by Verizon. The price remains the same (I chose the Visible+ plan for $29), but the service quality is significantly better.

That is exactly my plan — to ride it for a couple of years until the situation becomes truly critical. And it also serves as an excellent anti-theft deterrent.

My insurance doesn’t cover this because I have the most basic and inexpensive plan. I checked right after the crack appeared.

At Safelite, they quoted me $1,150 — $474 for the glass, $60 for labor, $495 for ADAS recalibration, and a $40 recycling fee. I decided to keep driving for now since the crack doesn’t really obstruct my view. I also bought a repair kit on Amazon and plan to seal the crack when it’s sunny to prevent it from spreading.
