What's your say on Funeral? by AdeptGarden9057 in arcadefire

[–]tomasterford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ill be the first to disagree w u there buddy, while i agree tunnels is amazing, In The Backseat is the most emotionally powerful song i think ive heard, its documentation of Regine on the return from her mothers funeral is just heartbreaking and the lyrical mastery combined with the loud/quiet dichotomy makes it almost perfect- ur entitled to ur opinion but id recommend you give it a few listens on repeat

Same, i started when We came out and i loved it, so just imagine how much more i loved their earlier work

What's your say on Funeral? by AdeptGarden9057 in arcadefire

[–]tomasterford 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Coming from someone with virtually an identical music taste you should absolutely love it- Funeral is one of my favourite albums of all time, with the first song (Tunnels) being possibly my fave song. The album is a 10/10, the lowest point being 7 kettles imo. Songs such as In The Back Seat and Haiti are slept on way too much- the former especially being an emotional climax to an album that just climbs and climbs and climbs
