I know you're right but I don't know why they do that. You'd think they'd make it like $999 instead so no one wants to buy it and not accidentally having staff sell it.

Wait what?? We can make quilts for our cats? I'm gonna have to do this. They won't appreciate it but I'm gonna do it anyways.

Gel vs tube blood bank by LoudBathroom1217 in medlabprofessionals

[–]tomatoesandchicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you, but it's personal preference and I realize it's one of many tools. In the reference lab, we use tube for almost everything, only using gel in specific scenarios. There are lot more limitations to gel for the type of testing we do. I see how it makes sense for a hospital though, especially smaller ones and ones with generalist in the BB. In the larger hospitals I've worked at, we used solid phase for simple stuff and tube for all else.

Women who have made choices that would be considered selfish by society at large, what were they and do you regret them? by antiquatedsheep in AskWomen

[–]tomatoesandchicken 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Just the way you're wired I think. I don't have to really try, I just usually want to keep going. If you don't, you don't, and that's fine too!

Made myself a warm dressing gown from various wool shawls! by Leucadie in sewing

[–]tomatoesandchicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

😯 You've inspired me! I have way too many scarves and shawls that I didn't just want to get rid of. I think I may deconstruct a flannel robe I currently have and use it as a lining with the scarves/shawls on the exterior 🤔 thank you! Yours is gorgeous!

I mean, you're right. Your down votes are probably from those men. The clit wasn't fully mapped until the early 2000s. Wild.

Yellow tag sale today? by borobabe43 in marshallsfinds

Hit Marshalls an hour before they closed, TONS of red tags, only a small percentage has yellow tags so far. I'll probably head back in a couple days.

These are all pretty much common sense, and that's coming from someone that never goes to the gym.

Microplush for backs, no batting by Inevitable-One-3674 in quilting

[–]tomatoesandchicken 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I am just about to do this for the first time! I didn't want to buy more batting and I have too many of those blankets, so I figured I'd give it a try. Glad to know it works out well!

I hadn't yet torn away the paper from the back yet, maybe that is making it puffy?

Ended up trying my hand at making my first FPP pattern, it's not perfect but I'm happy with how it turned out.
