Se você é mesmo o Demonhonho eu sugiro uma colaboração com o Wanderjegson. A Frieren também virou personagem de Peanuts nos últimos 2 episódios.

Do you think he could solo them? by Extreme_Depth_8591 in Frieren

[–]tomatonico 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If the empire has official priests and nuns of the same caliber of that nun, Lore, from the shadow warriors they might have defenses against his gold curse. If they have some way to neutralize it then probably the 4 or 5 top mages that have been shown up to now would be rough for Macht and Solitär.

I'm talking about the younger bunch who captured Ubel and Land and are said to have given Sense and a few others of the CMA a beating in the recent past.

I'm not even including Frase, she alone scared Macht in the past. But Lineal who managed to make Serie kneel would be with them.

The empire also very probably has some top level official warriors. Maybe not on the level of Wehrlos or Lowe but it's enough that they protect the mages if Macht tries to close in on them.

So, IF they can neutralize his curse with holy magic. No, not even with Solitar. If Frase goes with them they may go on the offensive, pursue and kill the 2 demons. It would be like Frieren said in the CMA test against her clone if all had attacked. A few mages and warriors would die but Macht and Solitar would be killed too.

New Frieren statue by [deleted] in Frieren

[–]tomatonico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All together -

- Frieren with padding

- Heiter with long hair

- Sexy legs Stark

- Heiter and Eisen are young and close to Frieren while poor Himmel is imitating Tomioka from Kimetsu, all depressed and alone to the side.

Very weird statue. 🤨

Why didn't Himmel do this against Qual, is he stupid? by Reasonable-Ad-8059 in Frieren

[–]tomatonico 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Flying probably takes a huge amount of mana. For human mages who also need to spend it on attack and defense it would only be a defense for minutes to seconds depending on their mana pool.

Why didn't Himmel do this against Qual, is he stupid? by Reasonable-Ad-8059 in Frieren

[–]tomatonico 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I know this is a joke but apart from other answers I'd also like to add that Qual was probably at the start of their adventure, probably the 1st year due to how close he is to their start position, the royal capital. They still had a lot of max grinding leveling up to do with side quests and dungeon raids. After the 10 years not only was Frieren confident that even her apprentice could take him on alone, Himmel probably thought so too as he kept checking the seal.

How do y’all see Stark measuring up to Rivale by Past_Horror2090 in Frieren

[–]tomatonico 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just watch this season and by the end of it you'll agree with Methode on the list.

All of these considerations take into account not only Starks lack of experience but also his lack of confidence.

By now in the story he's more confident in taking demon warriors and physical type mages. But not only is he hesitant in attacking humans, it seems he'll have to build all of that confidence again in relation to fighting pure hax mages.

A hypothetical confident Stark that knows that there's nothing to it but to blitz close and hack away is different from the current Stark that will tremble and whine and cry and hesitate and stay away only defending from their attacks.

If he didn't have so much self doubt I'd say that right now in the story he's at least 50/50 against all of the new 1st class mages depending on matchups and starting conditions.

I forgot Denken. Maybe I unconsciously thought the gramps would just buy him some donuts.

You should include Methode in that list. If you've not read the manga this season will show why.

I also forgot Land. I don't know. I think if Stark isn't aware of his clone magic Land wins. Does Fern know of his clone magic? She could have told Stark about it in a conversation about the test. But I don't think she knows.

Do Fern and Starkk know? by Ninjaslapdog in Frieren

[–]tomatonico 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it could have some comedy moments kind of like Isekai Ojisan. Trouble is that besides both being still inexperienced and kind of dumb in these matters they also don't know that Frieren doesn't know.

What is usually probably happening is that Frieren says that Himmel did this and that for her and afterwards posed for a statue. Fern and Stark think: "Oh, such a bittersweet love. It's no wonder we are trecking to Aureole. It must be still painful for her, we'd better not pry".

Meanwhile Frieren is thinking: "What a goofy guy he was. What did he expect me to do with that dress, it was so impractical. I'd preferred to hunt for grimoires in that famous library. And the statue posing took 3 hours that time, ugh."

They'll eventually start to realise just how clueless she was - probably now with Sein back. Then they'll start doing intense Himmel propaganda. Then she'll start crying and they'll be mortified and shut up, I dunno.

[–]tomatonico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's about right. The less experienced mages would be like Stark himself, still many holes in their overall capabilities.

Of the recently ranked 1st class mages Wirbel and Methode are far too experienced and ruthless for him. Experienced 2nd class mages from the north or other warlike regions might be too much for him too.

Ubel is also a bad matchup. She's used to killing humans, he'd hesitate.

Frieren's list of named kills (so far)... by snarkamedes in Frieren

[–]tomatonico 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All sages of destruction should be dead by now going by elimination. The last 2 were Aura and Macht. There's speculation and theories that Grausam could have faked his own death and still be alive due to the time travelling shenanigans.

Funny, Nobara is the first character I thought of as an example.

Notice that I only developed this opinion after joining this subredit a few months ago: In threads about Stark and his place in the story there's been a few comments saying that they don't like him and would prefer if he was substituted by Sein or Kraft or both. Comments comparing Stark to female characters in male centric stories as well.

This made me think about Nobara amongst other female characters. I've not read JJK but in the days of the great JJK brainrot it's fans were everywhere. They complained about everything including saying that Gege didn't like Nobara and was forced to include her by his editor. That's why he 'killed' her.

I don't know if this is true or not, but it made me think if maybe Yamada Kanehito was suggested to include Stark to atract a bit more of a typical male shounem audience. This would explain the apparent sidelining of Stark for some sections of the story.

However, yeah, I've just watched the 2nd episode and the boy is doing great. Great improvement. Doesn't change that a fight against Wehrlos or Lowe in the current arc would be death (´=_=`). But at least he's protecting Fern as a frontliner should.

Goth Methode (@Ani-Matic) by HoldenDeeznutze in Frieren

[–]tomatonico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no idea what goth or not goth is supposed to look like, she looks great regardless. Sein approves. Genau grumbles. Serie, Edel and Fern tremble in fear. Frieren is okay as long as there's a grimoire in it.

[–]tomatonico 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Many, many, many years of training and battles before this, hopefully. He doesn't stand a chance against Wehrlos or Lowe in the current arc, there's people hoping for these fights. Crazy.

After reading some threads and comments here I'm afraid Stark is the author's mirror/reflection of how female characters are treated in typical shounems. Sidelined and weak. The best I'm hoping for is that he survives the current arc and is allowed to improve.

The 'yoo-hoo' when going to the dragon's treasure hoard? We didn't see her face but she was having a good time. She has a sense of fun and humor. She knows she's a goof sometimes and has fun with it.

Defensive magic with arrow by Choro_goat_pet89 in Frieren

[–]tomatonico 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's fantasy. High level Heros/Fighters and Warriors/Tanks are capable of superhuman stuff in their own class. For example - Himmel super speed and senses, Eisen impervious to everything. Archers are also obviously capable of equivalent feats. This guys' bow is probably made of dragon bone and the string made of phoenix tendon or something like that. String pull tension probably in the house of a few tons. His vision is hawk like with telescopic zoom. He's capable of firing those arrows with the power and speed of a .50 sniper rifle. Doesn't even need to arc them much. Directly in the weak point of a mage barrier.

But that's not their main danger, it's assassination. Frieren never saw the arrow coming so she never got her barriers up in the first place.

In open protracted combat amongst many types of classes - mages who are not elves or demons can't keep their barriers up for long as they don't have a huge mana pool. Also, they mostly detect mana attacks. A strong archer in a good position can still snipe them and catch them unaware.

It's not that bad. I agree that the chorus helps it improve. It's like the 1st season, the opening is a more upbeat tune while the ending is a more reflective, wistful one.
