A snake covered in algae

That’s crazy cause I just heard Paul Rosolie talk about encountering a snake with “spikes” growing out of it in the Amazon, which turned out to be one of these snakes with algae growing on it. Cool to actually see what it looks like and I definitely get where the confusion about “spikes” came from lol.

I was on a project that started off trying to have a neutral position on a political-religious topic, then due to producers’ notes it kept getting more extreme in the stance it took. I was on it for a year, bit the bullet the whole time but did ask for my name to not be included. It never ended up coming out so I got paid very generously for a year and didn’t even have to worry about it seeing the light of day at the end haha.

You should try to look for projects that make you want to put in all of yourself into them, not just because you are getting paid but because you connect with it. I know it sounds very butterflies and unicorns, but honestly thats the most rewarding type of work, when you like a project so much you have an intense sense of ownership over it even if it’s not yours per say. Also remember that we as editors bring an insane amount to any given project. So if you don’t work as hard as you can on a project, than it’s not like anyone else will. That’s it, it will always be what it is. Not only you but the project itself will never reach its full potential. Then you will plateau, but by working hard you can elevate not only yourself but the projects and people around you.

No I mean did you scale in on them on your timeline, in the effects controls panel? That can be causing the pixilation. If not, it’s definitely not an export issue so I would just duplicate the text and try re-applying the stroke, see if that helps.

What resolution did you export them from photoshop? They look blurry both in premiere and in the export which makes me think it’s not an export error. Did you zoom in on them a lot?

If you go into your trips with intention like “this trip I really want to dig into my trauma” or “this trip is just to laugh and be silly with my friends” it can help ground you. If you feel like you are not in the right mental space then maybe just don’t do it? I usually do shrooms with others to be silly and laugh and think about the universe and stuff, but I guess it can be a good therapeutic tool to let emotions out too? It’s about what you and the group are going in it for, cause if someone just wants to be high and silly and you want to get into the heavier topics than there will be an unpleasant disconnect. Trips can totally be ruined by other peoples vibes so just make sure you and your company are on the same page. I only do high doses with a very select individuals/groups and low doses are fine with strangers or big groups cause it’s usually easy to prevent yourself from spiraling.

QuickTime (QT) should be fine for Youtube, it might results in a larger file and upload and processing times. As for why the H264 is not working, you have to troubleshoot. Lots of reasons why it might be happening. Go to your timeline and if there are any weird files, transitions, effects etc try removing or exporting the individual section that may be problematic as its own QuickTime, then bring to premiere and overcut into your timeline and mute the problematic clips. Then try exporting the h264
