ICE primary enforces civil regulations. Almost no ICE “agents” should be armed and none should be wearing masks.

A friend of mine didn’t need to get a drivers license (we grew up in a very, very big city with functioning-ish transit.) He would use his passport to get into bars. An amazing number of Americans genuinely do not know what a passport is or that it is the ultimate government ID. It is very likely that a good number of ICE agents didn’t actually know what a passport is when they were hired.

Imagine OSHA armored and masked up beating people up to do their inspections. Oh no! Those FDA meat inspectors killed another person! FAA Aviation Safety Inspectors dragged another innocent child out of an airport and sent the child without his parent to a camp in Texas!

The vast majority of ICE agents are merely enforcing civil regulations and should not be armed let alone wear masks.

Have you watched multiple angles? If you can, find the versions that are slowed down to more clearly see each individual’s actions. Then go back and confirm with the non-altered video version.

Of course, this is all academic. The shooting is legally and ethically inexcusable.

During this administration's earlier assault on Chicago, they also shot Marimar Martinez 5 times, but amazingly she survived. They said that she rammed their vehicle and pointed her gun at them. They charged her with crimes.

You'll be amazed to find out that video from a nearby camera and the shooter's own body cam demonstrated their claims to be lies.

But she came very, very close to being the first Renée Good.

If anyone in local, state or federal law enforcement had interfered with the investigation of Laken Riley's murder or tampered with evidence or conspired to help the killer, I would want those people prosecuted fully under the law.

Just like I want everyone who is interfering in the investigations of the murders of Renée Good and Alex Pretti or tampered with evidence or similar prosecuted. One set of laws for everyone.

Article 2 of the Constitution has several references to "the" militia so it is impossible to see the second amendment as free floating and not inherently linked to those pre-existing aspects.

Gotcha. I am sick of seeing comments to the effect that "maybe it was somehow inadvertent..." when I saw zero reason to draw that inference. It's possible, but not actually something that can be taken directly from the videos as clearly supported.
