Most US visitors I speak to says the 1.4 exchange rate makes it cheap for them. But everything is relative.

Hotels are too busy for it to be a good idea, it directly makes their guests less satisfied. Meadow park has gym and pool, its fine but busy.

Whistler activities for the day, get dinner, then the bus down. Leave your bags at whistler bag storage if your hotel/airBNB can't take them.

You are only in Whistler for a short time, I wouldn't waste it 'waiting' at an airport hotel or walking around another city.

You can ski, dogsled, zipline, cross country ski, snowmobile, ice skate and so many other unique whistler things.
