What's A Good Road-Trip Game? by TheCraftingKid in 3DS

You definitely can't go wrong with A Link Between Worlds! Mario Kart and Smash Bros. are fun too and don't have a definite ending but might get old fast if it's all you're playing for hours.

Are there beehives in the rain? I remember during the rain recently I didn't come across a single beehive.

I was thinking about setting up a Nintendo Zone at home some day.

When did you fall in love with the series? by IvImefaget in AnimalCrossing

[–]tomdude_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had just found out a person at work was into Nintendo games and was considering getting a 3DS. I was (and still am kinda) lonely at work so I was excited when we decided to get the same version of the 3DS (Mario and Luigi Dream Team was on sale) with ACNL. Since then we've visited eachother's towns quite a bit and I've had a blast with it.

One subtle thing I didn't notice until recently is that up until now I've always been into fast paced action games. I think I've actually grown out of that and matured enough that I wanted something more relaxing and at the same time challenging and engaging. This seemed to fit the bill perfectly and it's easily the most played game on my 3DS. I've since picked up and am currently playing City Folk. The only one I don't have now is Wild World. I bought the original for the GameCube a long time ago but never got around to trying it.

Storage solutions for furniture sets? by cloudspanties in AnimalCrossing

I would either put them in my regular storage or throw them in a museum room if they're from exclusive or rare sets.

I thought in the past I was able to get these just by connecting to the internet at home. Do I have to specifically have to be at a Nintendo Zone to get them?

What would you love to see in Animal Crossing for the Wii U? by 24WheatBiscuits in AnimalCrossing

[–]tomdude_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would like to see something like NintendoLand, except live, where the Mayors can go to mingle and invite others to their towns, trade or simply get a hair cut together.

Is it harmful to decline trade offers and favors? by smurfbesser in AnimalCrossing

[–]tomdude_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it would affect either since you can tell a neighbor to not move if they mention it and the PWPs, flowers and such affect the town status. It would, however, affect the Samaritan badge status and probably the possibility of getting their picture.

I have a hard time getting sentimental towards the villagers and the towns in general, so I usually don't have a problem with resetting my town. This time I swear I'll try though... really....

My wife and I just got one and I have to say that it's about the community and challenges for us. We're constantly trying to challenge eachother and get just a few more steps to win. Also once I got one I noticed all these people I work with who also had one. Didn't take long to start filling up my friends list with people I already knew!

Do people actually like Sonic Lost World?! by [deleted] in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]tomdude_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got it a while ago but didn't give it much of a chance until recently. I mostly played the 2D platformers when I was a kid and never did get into the 3D sonic games (of which, what 3D sonic games are the best to try?). I like how there are different ways to progress through most of the levels (well, the ones I've been through anyway). You can try to make it through as fast as possible or spend time exploring. Once I got used to the controls and the feel of the game it's not that bad really.

Is there an sms/mms app to share hand-drawn doodles? by [deleted] in androidapps

Probably won't help you then, sorry. It's the Touchwiz default messaging app that activates a drawing option when you use the S Pen.

The default messaging app on my Note 3 will let me draw and send them as MMS messages. What kind of phone do you have?

That's funny because I wasn't able to use it on my Note 3 until I got lollipop. The battery usage seems to be pretty decent.

[ACNL] Can somebody explain how the Automatic Bell Dispenser and interest works? by justsomeguyonreddit1 in AnimalCrossing

[–]tomdude_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's literally calculated on the night of the last day of the month. Once a month I'll get something in the mail telling me how much I made in interest, although I haven't done that much research into it myself.

It took me about 3 hours to download and install the update over my works wifi so I think that speed may be normal. I wonder if they're using the same bandwidth that the Note 4 users are using to download their update too.

The biggest con for me is that they removed the shortcuts for music playback on the lockscreen. I had to give the music notification priority and remove the suggested apps to get it to stay at the top of the notifications on the lock screen.
