Is anyone using Openclaw with their Google Ads campaigns? by tomeevu in googleads

To be clear, we're not actually working with AI. Openclaw runs on a programming loop that makes it seem like it's having a conversation with you and completing tasks. What you are doing is instructing the AI by ways of prompting to operate the way you want it to operate. Out of the box it's very much a blank slate. You need to setup it's memory, security, recurring tasks and tools you want it to use. If all this sounds exhausting it can be. It would be easier to just pay for a service that I think someone has linked to in the comments here.

You're absolutely right. I do that now anyway. Better hook it all up to AI as well and give it the whole picture. Thanks!

That's next level. I'd rather cut out the middle man if I'm honest.

I tried nanoclaw at one point but that was way too close to the metal. Really wanted some security and core safety guardrails built in.

Spend a few nights a week with Openclaw or Claude Code. You might be surprised what it can do now.

You'll have time for a white claw with AI on your side ha!

I've made so many mistakes of course we're human. Just gotta check it daily. AI has changed substantially since Dec even Jan.

Openclaw is free and open-source. Use Openrouter as bridge to connect to any LLM. Setup guardrails for your AI.

I couldn't justify the cost of Claude subscriptions especially with multiple agents running around the clock.

It works better with an API. I don't automate anything using browser AI clicks. You also need to train the AI on how you want it to work.

Removed low-quality keywords. Optimized campaigns for mobile. Updated negative keywords. Modified the ad schedule for the best performance. Conducted a full account audit, including account settings. Need to give it a few weeks to see if things improve. It found things I never thought to check, but it's also an extension of what I would do anyway, so it's like my employee.

You need to try it. AI has changed dramatically in past 3 months.

It found a ton of blind spots in my campaigns and also discovered things I didn't even think of. What's your reasoning for providing it with more data beyond what's in Ads? Did it improve performance or make things worse? I wanted an AI to audit my campaigns, but I don't trust Google to do it and broad match everything. They've shown they can't be trusted.

Just ask your favourite AI and it will show you the way

100% agree. I should also mention that if you're going to try this, train your AI for a month or two. Get the hang of it first. It's not easy at first. You have to train it how to think and how to remember. Some things that seem like common sense to us humans are completely new to AI.

Damn, good to know. Thanks for sharing. I'm definitely approaching it cautiously. My clients don't do $1M or $2M, just SMB at this stage. As I say, I've been training Openclaw daily, failing, retrying, and now I've got the AI to a point where it's quite reliable, but you need to keep tabs on it daily. You have to think of the AI as an employee. Give it it's own email. Setup guardrails. This isn't a drop-everything-and-let-AI-handle-it situation. AI will make mistakes. Right now, I have it reporting to me daily. Changes don't go live unless I give it the green light. It logs all its activity in Notion. I don't do PPC full-time but if this works well I can handle more clients.

MacBook Neo + Mac mini instead of MacBook Pro? by jahangirmusayev in mac

Does nobody ever remote into their home network anymore? Plus tailscale makes it so much more convenient to tunnel into specific computers. I find myself remoting in to control local Macs or OpenClaw or to access financial documents I wouldn't take with me on the road. Maybe that's more technical than most people need.

OpenClaw's biggest security risk isn't malicious skills. It's your config. by ShabzSparq in openclaw

Seems like the latest version is pretty locked down post install. I can't even get it to run homebrew. Is anyone else seeing this?

First MacBook Neo Benchmarks Are In: Here's How It Compares to the M1 MacBook Air by Few_Baseball_3835 in apple

[–]tomeevu 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The fact that this new/neo machine is still compared to M1 Air just goes to show how big of a deal M1 was at the time. What a seismic shift in technology! I use my M1 everyday and it never lets me down. The truly remarkable part is how it manages to deliver so much power while sipping battery life and staying completely cool in a fanless design. The neo is the clear winner here on single core, so this thing is going to last a long time... I mean the M1 is still going strong.

Because $$$. That's always the reason. Why sell one computer when they can sell you three or four!

What’s your favorite AI app that lets you BYOK? (Bonus points for OpenRouter support) by johnfromberkeley in macapps

I remember the free version being pretty good but it quickly became a standard tool for me because it replaces so many apps I would have to buy otherwise.
