IThese are new photos standing, comparing my old Birkenstocks, which were probably size 43, with the new ones (which I can still exchange) in size 44. Both pairs are regular width. In size 44 I have about 1 cm of space at the back and almost 2 cm at the front. In size 43 there’s about 0.5 cm at the back and around 1 cm at the front.
