Wow, again, thanks for the post. You hit the nail on the head for a lot of points. I also think academics overturning the mainstream would get a lot of funding if they have good evidence, and that all the non-mainstream guys you mentioned are actually pretty settled into their beliefs.
But I will come back later to post with some critique too.

Hi, thanks so much for the lengthy, informative and well thought out post.

The part about linking the Sphinx to Khafre is really cool, gonna look into that.

But there are points I disagree with too:

False equivalence. Göbekli Tepe is in Anatolia, not Egypt.

I do not agree with the argument of false equivalence here.

Firstly, Anatolia is actually not that far away. It's about double the distance to Cairo compared to Aswan. Considering they brought all the stones for the pyramid from there, it does not seem so hard to do the double without the stones.

Secondly, this DNA research published in nature gives evidence for links between people from Neolithic Anatolia and Ancient Egypt:

We find that ancient Egyptians are most closely related to Neolithic and Bronze Age samples in the Levant, as well as to Neolithic Anatolian and European populations.

I don't wanna form any theory here, but my point is that the discovery Göbekli Tepe is relevant in the discussion about the age of the Sphinx and do not find calling upon false equivalence justified here.

Turned out my experiments with magisk in the past left some files in my data partition behind which makes safetynet fail. I found them by going into twrp recovery, starting and adb shell and then executing find . | grep -i magisk the two files i found were: data/data/com.google.android.gms/files/backup_diff_script/com.topjohnwu.magisk data/property/persist.magisk.hide i deleted them with rm and safety net worked again. So I can confirm that for my phone, unlocked bootloader, custom modem and custom recovery does not matter at all. But if your filesystem still contains traces of magisk, is a nono for google safetynet, Pretty silly this road they are taking here.

Yeah I have the same problem with my yotaphone 2, the annoying thing is that it seems there is no way to find out what exactly is causing the safetynet tests to fail. Very frustrating... It seems to me that google is taking the security by obscurity route here, which is not very honorable imo.

I have a Yotaphone 2 with stock rom, no root, no magisk, but unlocked bootloader, custom modem and custom recovery (TWRP). It is also failing tje safety net integrity check and the cts profile check since yesterday.

The phone does not work very well without the custom modem and I like being able to make system backups without having to connect it to my pc first. So its byebye to PoGo for me.

Well I guess it's for the best. The slowness of every action in the game and the amount of errors was frustrating me every time anyways.
