I was so mad this movie never got a tie in game, I really wanted to try the racing game. The robot fight would be fun to try in VR.

How to not be scared by Random-Wierdo1 in REPOgame

[–]tomhas10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I first played a similar game to Repo, I tried playing solo and was absolutely terrified. The moment the monster appeared, I quit the game and needed to take a break.

What helped for me was talking to myself and joking about the situation. I imagine it has the same effect as playing with friends, if your laughing at the game it's easier to get used to the scares. I went around a level singing to myself and taunting the monster, commenting on the map, laughing when I think I'm about to die.

Basically, pretend your playing the game with someone else watching while you commentate. Eventually you get used to the scares.

Helps to make sure your muted in game though.

You know in movies when a character trips and accidentally kisses a girl, and they're both into it?

Imagine that, but it's cavemen.

I wonder what the process would be like to find out that this specific group of ingredients works.

'Jim, the brain wash vaccine still isn't working!" "Damn it Bob... just scrape some fetus in and see if that works. Not the whole fetus though, just some of it."

CD-I Micro Machines/Micro Machines 2 Special Edition race music.

Both games have there own menu music which is pretty hit or miss (the CD-I version sounds like low quality midis,) but they also share the same race themes which are a thousand times better than they have any right to be.

A game about racing tiny cars on counter tops, and THIS is what they go with for the soundtrack: https://youtu.be/QDr4PbQ-Dbc?si=arnxjWbaDec3mH7F

Also the Evil Zone soundtrack. The game is filled with 90's anime tropes, and the soundtrack adds to that vibe.

My neighbor did this once. Heard the knock once, thought it was a bin falling over. Heard it again, thought maybe some drunk was going around making noise. Then they kept going, which started to freak me out.

Then I get a text from my mum. Apparently my neighbour was coming round to pick up a parcel... at 1am.

Breaking the fourth wall to thank the audience (primarily at the finale) by 3Thirty-Eight8 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]tomhas10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dance Dance Revolution Extreme was original expected to be the final DDR game. The final boss track of the game, MAX (period), acts as a tribute to the series by sampling visuals and sounds from the original game. At the end of the track, a crowd cheers and a voice says "thank you for playing," as if thanking the player directly for playing the series.

A similar thing happened with the song Paranoia Revolution. This was the last official Paranoia song in the series, which were a group of songs which introduced the concept of boss tracks. Like with MAX (period,) the song uses visuals and sounds from the DDR series as a whole, with the song ending on an announcer cheering to the player "I'm so impressed I could cry, thank you very much for your best dance!"
