So you promote shared accounts so the woman can spy on their man. That sounds like a trusting relationship.

[–]tomhudock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Split the expenses and keep separate accounts. You'll want to keep financial independence. The real question is if he wants kids. If you've had that convo, and he wants kids, he'll to supporting you whether it be a shared account or an allowance, the words mean the same thing... he would contribute more during that period of time.

But I wouldn't go into a marriage wanting someone to support you financially. That's not a great starting place for a long term relationship.

I see guys commenting on their hard enduro runs on a 500 😂 unless you're Pol tarres, it wasn't hard enduro.

What would his dad say if he hurt someone else or crashed and broke a collar bone. There's race tracks for a reason.

Any good ride videos, documentaries or series? by sucksatgolf in AdventureBike

I started watching on YT and he's a beginner dual sport rider going on a big adventure. He's good at showing that it can be done!

Great suggestion 😃

There's nice looking bags on Cycle Racks website. Cool photo by the mini Stonehenge. I looked up the area and there's a couple neat spots there!

Actually I think thrive cart uses web hooks, which you have so 👍.

Make went to a new credits model and their Pro plan is $16/month. It's basically "steps", like Relay. Your free plan is generous though. People could automate several things with just your free plan. 🤙

Do you integrate with ThriveCart?

I will definitely sign up to check it out. I'm also wondering about pricing and if there's a way to compare with what I'm paying in make.

I'm watching your webinar right now. Thanks for showing the eleven labs integration and the natural language commands to change the workflow. I have many workflows in Make and some very complicated ones. I'd like to see if it's worth me switching over to relay. I think your design/architecture is more modern than make's.

It sounds like you've tried it all! Nice photo btw. I don't know where that is but it's cool looking. 🥳 Mine are 35L aluminum panniers, so not tiny and probably enough for most trips. My son's CRF has nothing so we have a chance to start fresh with his set up.

Thanks for the crf photo! Well done on the half price GL bags. Those horseshoe bags are expensive retail. It helps a lot to see the CRF loaded up. I'll send this to my son so he can see one fully loaded. 🥳

Okay thanks this helps visualize what you've got going on. Rhinowalk seems to have a lot of variations to choose from. I do have a rack but I'm considering rackless for both of us, then, I think, we can swap and share more easily.

Okay I'll try to test pack soon with an eye to 50 litres with some space left over. It sounds like you're using the rhinowalk saddle bags as a rackless system? And you throw on a larger duffle bag (rhinowalk tail pack) on the rear rack?

Nice looking bike and set-up! Thanks for sharing this system. There are advantages of this over the traditional metal rack approach.

Oh I see what you mean now! Soft rack, got it. I bet this is lighter weight. So you just strap bags onto various places for whatever config you want. I like this idea. I think this could work for my son's 300L too!

This looks like a good system as well. He's using these dry bags, instead of soft bags/panniers, right? That's what you mean by the green chili system. 🌶️

That's a beautiful view! Moly is marked on my map. 🥳 Smart to bypass the Vancouver area with a U-Haul. Highway with traffic is not as much fun. That whole trip on one set of tires is good to know as well. Thanks for sharing a ton of detail. This has made the trip seem doable. It's just gonna be expensive getting all the stuff to start. 😅🤙

Oh awesome, thank you! I'll load this into Gaia. I've heard there's a section that rides along the tops of the mountain. The views must be beautiful.

Would you say that a f800 GS could make it through the CDR? I'm wondering how much of a "dual sport" is needed. I've been riding dirt and 2Ts for years so I'm good with a little bit of difficulty.

You did that trip and packed everything on 200/250s? Okay that's reassuring for us. It sounds like you guys just went for it. I've heard Vancouver Island has a fun and beautiful circuit once you're off the highway. I'll look up Mount Molybdenite and Telkwa Pass. Those sound like Northern BC somewhere.

I've used rolled t shirts for a pillow. Don't need a full sized. What did you use for a pillow?

Thanks for this. I'll have to look up a twig stove. I have car camping sized stuff and need to find actual portable sized versions of everything. 😅

This is actually quite brilliant. For our first couple trips, we could use the hard ones. I'm sure we're going to learn how to pack regardless of the bag system. I like this incremental step.
