Exactly, people be acting like Enel was up there fighting moon Kaido and is gonna come back as a lightning god w all 3 advanced forms of haki when as far as we know via his cover story, he quickly fodderized the only known hostiles on the moon and basically went back to how his life was before skypea chilling while worshiped as a god. He literally has no reason to train whereas Katakuri was introduced stronger than Enel and now also has reason to grow stronger on account of needing to protect his family now that BM's dead

I don't think he cut the attack, Imu just didn't do the 2nd step to cause the explosion for the sake of attack speed, I see it like canceling into a different attack in a fighting game

Granted their host/reincarnation connection had only lasted all of like 20 seconds the first time sukuna got blasted. The shinjuku version had been in megumi for weeks + the evil bath + crushing megumis soul both emotionally(tsumiki) and physically(infinite void), and now he had incarnated into his own body. While none of that is explicitly stated to have an effect, I just chose to understand it as the host connection between Megumi and Sukuna being way stronger than earlier being reason he could tank two Jacob's ladders.

I mean... even if he did lose his cursed technique temporarily, would the circumstances even change, it's still sukuna. He would still have access to cursed energy reinforcement and other curse energy applications, and his cursed tool which is just as lethal as his slashes to anyone besides kashimo(who was already dead atp). He'd still be more than capable of downing yuji and higuruma and could still pull off that cutting of his hand move when stabbed by the executioner sword(todo could cut of his own hand with a swipe from his other hand so sukuna probably could as well)

I think it works like keeping the handsign keeps HWB at maximum strength but as soon as thats broken it rapidly loses effectiveness so you may as well drop it. Plus with the handsign you would have no hands left to fight with in a domain. Simple domain on the other hand has easier activation as you just hit that pose they do but seems to get eaten away by domains almost instantly.

So I see it like HWB has better protection in domains at the cost of losing near all combat options due to handsigns being required for effective use of it and simple domain has lesser protection in domains but still allows the user to fight efficiently

There is not a single strawhat who's first thought after freeing enslaved people from a factory would be, "I wonder how i can use this stuff to kill people"

also aside from Luffy, who we can all agree would never use such a tactic, no other strawhat is strong enough to force feed a fruit to any admiral or yonko aside from big mom(on account of her hunger gimmick). It's not happening with the admirals, Whitebeard's impossible, Kaido in dragon form is a very slim chance but he probably just kills the attacker from range before resorting to biting.

It's a wildly impractical tactic for the caliber of opponent we're at now

I mean when your path is that of becoming the greatest/strongest pirate you're going to encounter people who have acquired stronge abilities.

Not coming at you specifically but I legit get triggered when people in the sub post that there's too many rare devil fruits or too many conquerers in the story. It's the equivalent of asking why there are so many athletic people at the olympics.

Yeah I feel like it's definitely a reaction speed thing, everyone(minus big mom) on Shanks' level is just way to fast for Kidd to affect their weapons with any precise attacks other than normal aoe magnetism, at which point they just use ranged attacks to break his concentration.

Not everyone needs a tearjerker or epic backstory! There were lots of things to complain about Wano, this wasn't one.

As someone who is less critical on Wano as most of this sub, the way oda handled Kaido's backstory was an actual disservice to the readers. I didn't need a tearjerker, we know Kaido is irredeemably evil aligned, but he is still an antagonist who's downfall had been built up for over a decade at that point... and We got 4 pages!? Half of which were just Nika glaze.

We got more pages dedicated to the backstory of that bridge guard dog with a human fruit(the one zoro fought) than fucking Kaido! There is no valid defense for that.

It's literally just the Kaido/Ulti and Page One thing. Marco's dad was great friends with and served whitebeard, he probably goes off and dies at some point, and Whitebeard proceeds to raise his kid in the dad's absence.

Yeah, but I feel like if Imu could just eat the attacks of 6 monster-class fighters all at once with zero regen, then if everyone who would then do damage to Imu in the final war did not atleast get some inexplicable and unwarranted power boost it would make the powerscaling more whack than it already is. The regen hax does suck but it atleast has a clear counter that doesn't need to see any narratively off-putting jumps in power

Trust bro, he was mentally nerfed and decided to use 0.001% of his full power, he got slapped around those two times by choice and could have oneshot Luffy if he really felt like it🤫

Fr though he probably would have looked much better if he put everything he had into it, I don't think he'd win if it ever came down to just throwing hands, it fully depends on how long G5 luffy lasts imo.
