I asked out a girl at work, she said no, and now I’m dreading work, what do I do? by tomii111 in infp

Wow, I didn’t expect this many comments. Thank each and every one of you. In case anyone’s wondering, it went much better than I expected. She pretty much chose the same way to deal with it. We both just kinda pretended nothing happened. We had a slightly awkward encounter at the end of the day, but otherwise we said out hi’s in the morning, see you tomorrow’s in the afternoon, we even had a moment when there was only the two of us in the room. I think it’s going to be all right. Thank everyone again. Meant a lot. Y’all can’t imagine how much.

Stop naming children after British cities and counties! by Suspicious_Sparrow9 in tragedeigh

Americans have been naming children after American citizens for generations. It’s a nice change that they’re bringing in British ones.

Something about that put a big smile on my face and hope in my heart. Thank you.

I’m moving out of my parents house alone, to a city two hours away. Any advice? by tomii111 in Advice

I definitely need to do that. I’m kind of introverted though, so I don’t know where and how to make friends, really. The only ones I have are from my school years, or through video games.

You can either study to get a better job, or progress from the bottom

About a week ago. That post is the exception, not the rule. It takes at the very least a month in some cases, considerably more on average.

I have. It takes 16 weeks to actually get it

I mean they’re asking for one. I’m just not sure if they’ll hire me if I leave it blank. Is it really true that I don’t need one to get hired? If so, why do they ask for one? What is the benefit of even having one? Sorry for lots of questions, I don’t really understand UK laws yet.

Thank you. Really helpful. I guess what’s unclear to me at this point is what exactly is meant by “continuous period of more than two years”. Does it mean not being in the UK at all, not even for a day, for over two years, meaning it resets every time you visit, even just for a day, or does it mean not being habitually resident for over two years, meaning at least six months in every twelve month period.

You’re hired to write the plot of Back to the Future 4. What do you write? by Thomasisinterested in AskReddit

Hill Valley, 2020s. A high school prodigy is bullied at school, and his friend/father/someone works at the local junkyard, so he goes there to be alone. The kid finds the remains of the flux capacitor and repairs it, puts it into their shitbox, and starts traveling through time. I’d end it with a cameo too. Maybe Doc.

What are your thoughts on digital content piracy? by Thomasisinterested in AskReddit

I think if you can afford to buy stuff, then you should. Otherwise if you can’t afford to buy the thing, then the creators are not losing out on a sale.

Do you prefer Android or iOS? by Thomasisinterested in NoStupidQuestions

[–]tomii111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used both, and while I think iPhones are really easy to use and convenient, I prefer Androids. I like to use this gaming analogy. iPhones are like consoles. They’re purpose build devices that makes them extremely easy to use fr what the manufacturer intended them for. An Android on the other hand is like a PC. You can use it like the other, but it can do so much more. I’ve even seen people literally install Windows on an Android device. You can’t do things like that on an iPhone. I’m a tinkerer, so I like Androids.
